前回HOMER HILSENでキャンプライドに行った反省ポイントをふんだんに入れてJOE APPALOOSAを組んだ。
パッキング時、前回重いフロントパニアがヘッド周り、フォーク、スレッドステムをグニャグニャさせたので、重いものはなるべくサドルバッグに、体積があって嵩張るものをパニアに優先的に詰めた。 I built this Joe Appaloosa with the reflection I had bike camping with my Homer Hilsen.
The last time I went bikepacking, I loaded too much stuff on the front panniers and ended up having a very floppy feeling around the headtube, fork and stem, so I loaded most of the heavy stuff in the saddlebag and everything bulky on the panniers.

- 近場ということもあり、距離もほどほど、かつ平坦な道のりなので、そこまで重量にシビアになることがないので、気にせず何でも放りこめるようにパニアスタイルにしました。道中で食材を足してもまだまだ余裕でした。WALD137には、テントサイトに到着した時に1番最初に取り出すもの&撤収時に1番最後に詰め込めるものを放り込みました。撤収時のパッキングって、出発時と比べて時間も限られてなかなかうまくいかない時があるので、ささっと撤収できるパッキングに務めました。 I chose to go with the pannier style, because we weren't going to ride a long distance and there were barely any hills and I can just shove all my stuff in without thinking too much in the pannier. I still had plenty of space even after getting food from the store. I put the first things I would need to unload when arrivng to the campsite, which is also the stuff I needed to load on the basket at the last moment before we leave. It's pretty common for me to be unable to pack easily when leaving the camp than packing before I leave my house. I wanted to make things easy for myself.

- 今年のキャンプアウトはこの日にあわせて組み上げたBlack Mountain CyclesのMod Zeroにて。天気も安定していて、レンタルも充実した都心のキャンプ場だったので、Swift IndustriesのJr. Renger Pannierメインのわりとライトなスタイルです。フレームバッグにはパニアに収まらないテントのポールとカメラの三脚を。今回は三脚を持っていきましたが、テントのポール＋Helinoxのチェアゼロなんかも入れられるので、長尺ものの積載に調子ヨシ。サドルバッグには基本的な工具類と替えチューブが入っています。 I built this new Black Mountain Cycles Mod. Zero for this day. The weather was great and the place we were headed had plenty of rental camping utensils, I packed pretty light with the Swift Industries Ranger Pannier. I had a tripod for my camera and the poles for my tent in the frame bag, since I can't fit them in my pannier bags. The frame bag can also contain a Helinox chair, so it's really good for long objects.

バイクはFrancesのPlatypusのフロントラックにWaldのジャイアントデリバリバスケット。その中にMAXトートです。MAXトートにほとんどの荷物を入れてます。
サドルバッグにSWIFTのカタリスト。大きすぎないのでバッグサポーターなしでサドルに取り付けができるのが便利。一泊のキャンプなので着替えやウエア系を入れてました。Xpacですが、雨が降ること考えてウエア系はドライサックに入れてからカタリストに収納しています。 The bike I chose for this trip is the Frances Platypus. I loaded the Wald Giant Delivery Basket on the front rack. I packed most of my things in the Max Tote and threw it in the huge basket. I really like the Catalyst Saddle Bag because it doesn't require a bag supporter. I had all my clothing inside the Catalyst. The Catalyst is made of X-PAC, but I had all my clothes in a dry sack just in case.

６月下旬のこの梅雨時期。雨も降るのか降らないのか。。天気だけがちょっと不安な中でしたが、楽しむ気持ちだけは忘れずに。。僕たちのチームはお台場とディズニーランドの間にある若洲キャンプ場に行ってきました。当日は朝9時ごろ上馬店に集合。
僕らのテーマは“ゆっくり無理なく行ける楽しいキャンプ”です🏕 目的地の若洲キャンプ場へは上馬店から片道約25Km。僕らが生活する地域からアクセスもよいので、テントやキャンプ道具を詰めたバイクパッキングでもそんなきつくない、普段の感じで行こうぜ！って感じのキャンプをやってきました。ほんとーに無理なくね、、
June in Japan is normally considered as the rain season, so I was a bit worried throughout the trip, but I never forgot the spirit of having fun. Our destination was the Wakasu Camp Ground, located right in between Odaiba and Tokyo Disney Land.
9:00 a.m. – We met up at Blue Lug Kamiuma. Our theme of the trip was : “A slow and easy camp”🏕 The Wakasu Camp Ground is approximately 25km away from Blue Lug Kamiuma. It’s a pretty decent distance for a relaxed bikepacking ride.

15時ごろ、ようやくキャンプ場に到着！若洲キャンプ場は東京ゲートブリッジのすぐ見えるところにあります。暗くなる前に各自テントの設営をして、焚き火用のグリルやクーラーボックスはレンタルしました。諸々の設営が整ったところで夕飯の準備をしていきます。
3:00 p.m. – We finally arrived at the camp ground, located right below the Tokyo Gate Bridge. We set up our tents before it got dark and rented a grill and a cooler box from the camp ground. After everybody got done setting up their own tents, it was time to cook dinner.
たこ焼きを作るためにまずは、ナルゲンのボトルを用意します。そして中に“水、卵、たこ焼きの粉”をいれてひたすらナルゲンを振ってかき混ぜます。もちろんアウトドアのため計量器はないので、とろみだけを頼りにアバウトでやっていきます。あとはかき混ぜてたこ焼きのもとを作ります。
For cooking Takoyaki, I brought a Nalgene bottle. I poured in water, eggs and Takoyaki mix in the bottle and shook the heck out of the Nalgene to mix all the ingredients.

♪♪♪ 火力が足りなくなってきたので、みんなで扇ぎます。
♪♪♪ The fire became weak, so we got together and blew into the fire.
ソース、マヨ、鰹節をつけて完成！！！！外で食べるご飯はなんでも美味しいけど、たこ焼きは想像以上の美味しさでした。（銀だこ超えた）たこ焼きのフライパンは結構重たいけど、この距離ならなんなく持っていけるのでおすすめです。
Put on some sauce, mayo and sprinkle fish flakes and we have ourselves a hot plate of delicious Takoyaki!!! Eating outside adds a little more flavor than usual, but this takoyaki was truly amazing. Carrying the Takoyaki pan was quite a pain, but I say it was totally worth it.

あとは良いステーキをひたすら焼いてたりして、夜を過ごしました。。ここで１日目終了。。。（おやすみなさいー）
We also ate a lot of stakes that night and went to bed shortly after eating.

２日目朝。
各自ゆっくり起きてから、スマッシュさんがコーヒーを淹れてくれました。（これまた沁みるぜ）
この日は梅雨とは思えないほどのピーカン晴れ。気温も高かかったのでエアーマットを退いてゆっくりすることにしました。
Day two. Everybody woke up pretty late. Smash fixed us coffee. (It sure did hit the spot again)
The second day was unbelievably sunny, as it was still rain season. It was such a nice day, so we just laid on our mattresses for while.
美味しいコーヒーを片手に、僕はホットサンド！パンにハムとチーズをいれて、熱々のサンドイッチを作りました。こんがり焼けて、耳はパリパリ。
I on the other hand cooked some nice and toasty grilled sandwich for the boys, which I think I did a pretty good job at.
谷さんはキャンプ飯でお得意の“出前一丁カルボナーラ”を振舞ってくれました。ラーメンにチーズ、生クリームで和えて出前一丁カルボナーラが完成！まさかこの組み合わせでできるなんて、、と衝撃。みんなで美味しく頂きました。。
Let’s see what Tani is cooking up… He made us his signature Instant Ramen Carbonara. I was really surprised that you can make an exquisite pasta with ramen noodles, cheese and heavy cream.

あとは荷物をパッキングして帰路につきます。キャンプ場の周りのサイクリングコースも海を見ながらで、最高に気持ちよかった。。
帰り途中、夏バテ気味だったので、おいしくって体力つくやつが食べたい！！ということでウナギを頂きました。
うなぎのおかげで体力も全快！！！！！
今回のキャンプは都内で無理なく遊べるキャンプだったので、暑さできつい中でしたが帰りもちょっとずつコンビニによって帰宅しました。
It was now time to head back. We had a nice little ride by the sea near the camp ground.
Then we went to Kanda to eat Unagi (eel dish), then went home after a few stops at the nearby convenient stores. I really enjoyed this chill campout.

若洲海浜公園チーム、テーマとして一番イージーで、「来週にでもすぐにお客さんが真似できるキャンプライド」を目指しました。Rivendellグラントさんの言う「S24O」にも通ずるところで、無理しない、力みすぎない、映え狙いすぎない、「日常から”半歩だけ”脱線するような」イメージ。いつものコーヒー屋に集合で、いつもの仲間とササッと行ってこれるライトなもの、アーバンなライド。
Wakasu Seaside Park Team’s theme was to go easy, setting the goal “the camp ride our customers can try it out on their next day off”. Imagining a trip that is not too much effort, not physically over committing, and only a half step outside of your daily life. I say it relates to the “S24O” call by Grant-san from Rivendell. Meeting up at our favorite cafe, with the usual members and ride together a bit, something urban.

買い出しした食材やビールはパニアのフロントポケットに入れておいた、FAIRWEATHERのパッカブルパックに。小さく収納できて、たくさん入るし、背負っていても負担にならないので、パッカブルサコッシュよりも僕はこちらがお気に入りです。
I put foods and beers that I bought along the way in a FAIRWEATHER packable bag which I stowed in the front pocket of my pannier bag. Compact when not in use, but can fit a lot in when in use, and it's comfortable on my back. I recommend it more than the packable sacoche.

近場なので普通だと持っていくのを躊躇するものも持っていけるということで、LUGでワインを調達して、King CageのManything cage にvolieのストラップをくくりつけて運びました。結果、夜の宴がより充実。
There are some items I would normally be hesitant to bring when camping by bike, but this time I can, since we’ll camp nearby. I bought a wine bottle at LUG, strap it on the Manything cage by King Cage using a Voile strap. Our night became even more better!

たこ焼きプレート。今回はこれ持って行って良かったです。鉄のプレートで本体は重かったですが、カーゴバイクで運んだのでそこまで気にならずでした。みんなでワイワイしながらのタコパは最高でした。近場キャンプなら是非おすすめ。
Takoyaki steel grill plate. I’m so glad that I brought that. Yes it was heavy, but in a cargo bike, I wasn’t so bothered with the weight. A wholesome takoyaki party with everyone, I recommend it if you’re camping somewhere close.

何度かバイクキャンプをしてきて感じることは、どんなアイテムもなるべく軽くて小さく収納できるものを選ぶのに越したことはないということ。キャンプに出掛けている時間はもちろん、帰ってきてから経験をもとに装備をアップデートして、次のキャンプを妄想するのも楽しみの一つですよね。
