- jr.rangerは言わずもがなで低い位置につけれるので安定感と容量の多さはピカイチ。今回は“日常乗っているバイクでcampout楽しみたい”が僕の中での裏テーマ。元々つけていた5rail rackに装着しました。今回は車で自転車を運んだ後に自走の流れだったのでフロントラックに139halfバスケットを付けていきました。ラックがあることで買い出しもとてもスムーズでした。いつも通りに買い出しの荷物をどさっと入れるだけ。薪も買っていったのでラックが大活躍でした。輪行だったら絶対ラック付けずに行くので車移動ならではの気軽さだと思います。 When it comes to capacity and the stability when attaching to the bike, the Jr. Ranger is the best in the game. I hung the panniers on to the Pass And Stow 5 rail rack that was on my Velo Orange Polyvalent, which I had beed riding everyday. My theme of this trip was to have fun camping with the bike I ride everyday. Our plan was to drive to one point and ride bikes from there, so I brought a 139 half basket. Thanks to the basket and the front rack, carrying grocery and fire wood was super easy. If I were to rinko, I would have definitely took off the front rack and basket, so I think being able to have all these racks and stuff on your bike is one of the pros for driving.

- swiftcampoutというくらいなのでswift madeの物を使って遊ぶことに決めました。装備は安定にフロントパニア、リアはカタリストで。いつもだったらseatbagを使う自分ですが、初の試みでカタリストに。パニアがあれば１泊２日なんて余裕だけどちょっとしたものとか入れるのに調子がいいと思えたサイズ感でした。ただ一緒に行ったクリントさんも、タクマも使っていたのはゼイゲイスト。単純にカッコよかったし潔かった。 It's Swift Campout, so I of course brought Swift made bags for the trip. My gears are the front panniers and the Catalyst Pack hanging down my saddle. I would normally use the Fairweather Seat Bag, but I wanted to try out the Catalyst. Honestly speaking, a set of pannier bags are all you need for a day trip, but the Catalyst bag definitely helped me to contain some small bits and bobs nicely. My team mates, Clint and Takuma had the Zeitgeist pack, which looked cool and smart.

- 様々なパッキングのスタイルを織り交ぜた上でパッキング自体はシンプルにする、という事を意識しながら、自分が好きな気軽でラフなキャンプライドをしてるアメリカのライダー達のようなスタイルを目指しました。フロントラックに嵩張るマットとテントとチェアをVoileで固定。スマホやカメラなどよく取り出すものやツール類はフレームバッグ・ステムバッグに。その他着替えなどあまり取り出さないものはzeitgeistに。買い出しなどで荷物が増えてもフロントラックのカーゴネットでほぼカバー出来るので、一泊二日程度で最低限快適なキャンプライドならこれくらいで十分かなと思います。 I focused on incorporating as many packing styles, while keeping the simplicity. I took some inspirations from how American bike tourists pack their stuff slighty rough. I tied down the mattress and tent onto the front rack with Voile Straps. All the stuff I contsantly take out went into the frame bag and stem bag. The things I don't need to take out during the ride was all in the Zeitgeist pack. In case you did some grocery shopping, you can cover all the groceries with Cargo Nets, so this set up was just enough for me.

今回は私クリント率いる自称スーパーヤングチームです。まずはこの２人の顔と名前だけでも覚えて帰っていただけたら。
Our team was the “Super Young Team”. (self-proclaimed) First, Imma show you the members of the team.
なにこれ。大丈夫かこのチーム。と思われるかもしれません。僕も書いていておもいます。でも安心してください。若いので大丈夫です。
僕らのチームは3人。私クリントと↑↑↑の２人。左の彼は弊社新人スタッフのタクマ。このチームだと最年少かな？2ooo年生まれの23歳。悪そうな身なりだけど中身はしっかりしてていいやつ。実はこのヤングガンが今回のキャンプのキーマンです。
右の彼はもう新人？でもないのかな。鹿児島から自走で上京してきたタフガイ、カイセイ(25)。声がとにかくでかくて場を盛り上げてくれます。カメラ向けると大体変な顔するいいやつ。
あとは僕クリント(26)の３人でお送りします。
Now, you may be thinking “Are these guys okay…?”, I know. I am questioning the same thing as I am typing this blog, but don’t you worry. We’re young, we’ll be just fine.
The guy on the left is Takuma, who is one of the newer staffs. He is 23 years old, the youngest in the team. Looks kinda mean, but he’s actually really nice and mature. Takuma is the key person to this trip, but I’ll get into that later.
The guy you see on the right is Kaisei, who came to Tokyo from Kagoshima by bike. 25 years old, has a loud voice, makes people laugh and always makes weird faces when a camera is pointed.
And myself Clint.

幡ヶ谷店に集合。この梅雨時期にピカッと天気良くてよかったなと。チームの最年少タクマの車で僕らは東京幡ヶ谷から、房総半島館山市まで車でいきます。ありがとうタクマ。
最近は車所有してるスタッフも増えてきてスタッフごとに積載の色が出るなぁと感じます。タクマは車体の後ろに3台載せれるリアラックスタイル。
ちなみにブルーラグ幡ヶ谷店から第一目的地の館山駅までは車で1時間半の道のり。電車で行くとめちゃくちゃ時間かかるので車で行くのが👌。
We met up at the Hatagaya store. The weather is great and feeling good. Takuma the young gun drove his own car. (respect for having his own car at a young age.) Takuma is going to take us to Boso Peninsula from Hatagaya. Thanks for the ride Takuma.
I find it interesting how people load their bikes on to their cars in all kinds of ways. Takuma went with the rear rack method.
From Hatagaya to the first destination, Tateyama Station is about a one and half hour drive. It takes forever to get there by train, so driving is highly recommended.
さすがにそのままポン付では車に乗らず、ラックとペダルを外します。
We were unable to load the bikes to the rear rack of the car with all these racks and bags, so we had to take them off.
無事に積み終えてレッツゴー。
Alrighty! We successfully loaded our bikes to the car, so it’s time to hit the road.
途中海ほたるを通過して南下していきます。朝ごはんは海の上のファミマで。
We passed Umihotaru and headed south. Stopped by the FamilyMart above the ocean for some breakfast.
館山駅近くのホームセンターで薪と網とペグを買い出し。
After the convenient store breakfast, we arrived at the hardware store near Tateyama station to get some pegs and firewood.
なんかカイセイ見た目変わってない？
👨🦲「900円でサングラス買いました〜。」100均で買った浜崎あゆみのサングラスを捨てて、900円の大谷翔平サングラスで再登場。僕にはなにが違うのか全くわかりませんでしたが、彼はご満悦でした。

He got rid of those Hollywood celebrity shades and got a pair of speed shades. Not sure if it made any difference, but he looked pretty stoked so that was pretty cool.

やっとこさ館山駅近くの駐車場に到着。邪魔にならない様に各々自転車を組み立てます。
途中でアイス休憩を挟みつつ、キャンプ場を目指します。
We finally got to Tateyama station, our first stop. We found a spot that we wouldn’t get in people’s way and assembled our bikes.
After seeing some epic scenery and taking a popsicle break, we headed down to the camp ground.
最高のロケーション。
This place is amazing.
途中で灯台を見つけて寄ってみました。
房総半島、どこを切り取ってもいい景色。
We found a lighthouse on the way, so decided to check it out.
Boso Peninsula is awesome.
お昼はキャンプ前、精気を養うために海の幸をバカ喰いです。タクマが店で一番高い海鮮丼食べててウケました。でかい伊勢海老とサザエ乗ってるやん。
We decided to stop at a seafood restaurant for lunch before the camp. We ate a lot and regained energy for the adventure ahead. Takuma ordered the most expensive dish on the menu. A huge lobster and turban shells? Jeez man!
最後お出汁かけて２度楽しんでるやん。
Ah, yes. pouring broth to the last part of the meal. You’re almost enjoying yourself too much Takuma.
みんなでごちそうさまして再出発。
Okay! Let’s get a move on.

キャンプ場到着前の２個目の目的地である館山砂丘へ到着。
海のすぐ近くにあるこの砂丘。浜から吹き上げられた砂が堆積してできた天然の砂丘みたい。東京だと味わえない自然が、東京からわりと近くでドカンと喰らえます。東京に住んでいると日常では感じることのできない大自然と心地よさで１週間ぐらいゆっくりしたい…！てなっちゃいます。

Apparently, this desert was made naturally by the sand of the near by beach being blown in the wind. It’s funny how the kind of view you can’t get in Tokyo is just a few kilometers away from Tokyo. This kind of view makes me want to spend a few weeks in the nature…

そんなこんなでここが僕らのキャンプ場。遊房キャンプ場さん。それぞれテントを立てて、夕食の準備をします。やっとCAMP OUTっぽくなってきましたね。
写真だとそれっぽいですが、火を起こすのに１時間弱かかって晩御飯を作り始める頃にはすっかり真っ暗。7時でもまだうす明るくて、少しだけ夏を感じました。
ご飯食べ終わったら焚き火の火が消えるまで3人で談笑めちゃくちゃ自転車の話ししたなー。２人の自転車熱がひしひし伝わってきてとても素敵な時間を過ごさせてもらいました。これもキャンプの醍醐味。なんだかんだで薪の炎が消える1時ごろまで火を囲みました。
This is the camp ground we will be staying. The Asobo Camp Ground. We set up our tents and started cooking dinner. Now it’s starting to look like a campout! It might look like everything went well in the picture, but it actually took about an hour to start the fire. By the time we started cooking, it was pitch black.
After dinner, we surrounded the camp fire and chatted. We talked A LOT about bikes. I could tell the two had a lot of passion for bikes, which was really nice. This is what camping is about. Great times. We stayed up until the fire went out. I think it was around 1:00 a.m.
6/26 Sun

特別な時間はあっという間。気がついたら朝です。朝はふつうのハムと普通のチーズで最高のマフィン。諸々支度してチェックアウトの10時にはキャンプ場をでます。
2日目はキャンプ場からゴールは最初の館山駅。きた道戻ってもつまらないのでタクマがルート作ってくれて山の方から帰ります。
Just like that, it was the next day. Time flies when we’re having fun. We made ham & cheese muffins for breakfast and left the camp ground around 10:00.
Our plan for day two is to go back to Tateyama station. We could have simply went back the way we came, but Takuma found another way around, so we decided to take that route.

房総半島は林道も多くて激坂と林道のミルフィーユ。結構走りごたえもありました。でも登った先の休憩所でアイスあって全てを肯定してくれてる様な気持ちになって。それにしてもアイス食いすぎだけど。夕方になってきて最後はたまたま見つけた岬で綺麗な夕日を見てフィニッシュ。
Boso Peninsula was filled with forrest trails and steep hills. It was pretty fun, but gnarly to ride. Ice cream at the top of the hill gave us hope and more energy. We found this cape coincidentally so we watched this beautiful sunset.
自転車好きな人って不思議と車とかバイクとか、乗り物好きの方も多くて。
ヨヨコーで言うとトミーさんなんですけど、たまたま今回車好きのタクマがチームにいてくれたのでせっかくだからやりたいこと全部しようぜ！で 車×自転車×キャンプ の３要素をがっちゃんこしてCAMPOUTしてみました。
「タクマが大好きな車も盛り込む」がキーワードだった今回、めっちゃ疲れたけど、車も自転車もキャンプも楽しめたし、本当に最高でした！

カトラリー系（アルミホイル、串、調味料）は事前に用意していってもよかったかなと思った。結局現地のスーパーで買って大量に余らせてしまった。
I should've brought some of the cooking utensils and materials, since I had to buy them at the local super market and we didn't even use most of them.

zeitgeistはbag manと併用して使ってみましたが、めちゃめちゃよかったです。支えがあることの重要さを学びました。bag manがあることでzeitgeistがシートポスト側に寝ることもないしバッグ入り口がしっかり上側に来るので取り出しもしやすくなって最高でした。

Using the Zeitgeist with the Bag Man was awesome. I learned the importants of having a bag support. The Bag Man also made the bag face up, instead of going down under the saddle, so it was really easy to take out my stuff out of the bag.

あとはこれ、意外とよかったのですがプラフェンダーが結構よかったです。結局2日とも雨降らずでしたが林道での水たまりとか泥巻き上げで背中濡れ防げたのでよかったです。車で行くならキャンプ×泥除けいいかもです。
Oh, the plastic fenders were also great. It didn't rain during our drip, but it was cool that my back didn't get soaked when I rode through a puddle.

1日目の海と2日目の林道の２面楽しめる房総半島はポテンシャル高いなと思います。車じゃなかったら横須賀からフェリーでいけます。
In Boso Peninsula, you can enjoy both ocean and forest, so I think there's a ton of potential here. You can go with a ferry from Yokosuka, if you don't have a car.

千葉県房総半島、これがすごく良かった。理想的な一泊二日のキャンプライドが出来る土地であり、理想以上に楽しさや満足感を得られる今回のキャンプアウトになりましたので是非皆さんにも行っていただきたいです！
Boso Peninsula was amazing! It's where I was able to enjoy my ideal camp trip. I was able to have more fun than excepted so I highly recommend you guys going!
