Jindaiji Mountain Works is an outdoor gear brand founded by Koki Okazaki a.k.a. Jakie-san.

We went on a little bike trip to Jackie-san’s favorite top secret camping spot, to shoot a “how to video” and just celebrate the success of the event we did about a month ago.

This hammock is without a doubt my best purchase of the year.

Setting the hammock under the autumn leaves, starting a campfire, drinking coffee, eating cupnoodles, roasting marshmallows…it was truly a great time.

Chilling in a hammock was a very unique experience compared to relaxing in a tent. You can feel the nature from all 360° angles. It was like I was floating in space for something. Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but it felt darn good. That is for sure because I in fact fell asleep during making the tutorial video.

It’s been a while now, but I just want to thank everyone who came out to the Jindaiji Mountain Works pop-up shop. It was cold and rainy, but you guys showed up. We are so thankful for you guys.

Thanks to Jackie-san, we got a small restock of the stuff we had at the event, for those of you who didn’t have the chance to make it at the event, or simply for people who couldn’t purchase what they were after at the event.

You can see the tutorial video of the hammock here.

Four colors will be available for the 20D version. ORANGE, RED,  MOROCCO BLUE and PURPLE.

Originally designing products for backpackers, this hammock only weighs 180g.

To colors for the 40D Camping Hammock. PURPLE and CIDER BLUE.

It’s their first ever time making the 40D version. We thought if we were packing them on bikes, we could make the hammocks slightly heavier and more durable.

Now, this is my personal opinion. You don’t really notice a big difference between the two unless you are to doing a side by side comparison, so if you can’t decide which one to get, I recommend choosing your favorite color.

Setting up the hammock is probably the most difficult part. We have included the JMW Woopie Tree Strap with the hammock. All you need is to purchase the hammock and you can be chilling under the trees.

One more lovely item!

Jackie brings his “best friend” with him all the time. We decided to put him on a shirt.

Say hi to Mingus!

Mingus is such a good boi. He’s smart, cute and fast!

According to Jackie-san, this t-shirt officially became the uniform for JMW.

If you are a fan of JMW or a Best Friend tee collector, grab one and show Mingus some love!
