My friends and I went to Yokohama to see a famous fortune teller last week. He read my hand and said I won’t get married until 35. Wtf.
Anyways, let’s do some bike checks in Blue Lug Hatagaya. Spring is just around the corner so I hope this will help somebody who wants to get a new bike or change some parts.
*ALL-CITY* nature boy disc (Size 43)
The owner owns many kind of bikes, such as Moulton bike and a custom hand-made bike. She was looking for a steel single-speed bike for daily commuting. Thereby I recommended the All-City Nature Boy, disc brakes and a single-speed setup that provides unmatched control and reliability.
The headset is ChrisKing, the same color as the frame.
The Paul cross lever is installed only one side. The MASH constellation handlebar tape is very fresh.
The saddle is WTB.
The hubs are Paul Components.
The Sugino crankset with the Blue Lug brass crank cap.
A lot of All City bikes has an expaneded size range and 650B size wheels on small bikes. Utilizing the 650b wheel size for the smaller bikes allows them to better serve riders by preserving ideal geometry as scaling the bike down the size range. A single gear bike is easy to maintain and single gear commuter with disc brakes is a great choice for woman.
The Surly disc trucker 650b wheels conversion is our basic style.
The headset is PhilWood.
The griptape is the MASH X-grid bar tape.
The Nitto V-4 stem and the Nitto RM-3 mountain drop handlebar is a great setup. Do you feel the ultra romance?
The SOMA deluxe porteur rack has a wide platform, which is good at carrying bulky load. The crankset is White Industries.
The pedals are MKS lambda pedals. At the talk event, Mr. Hagino, the president of MKS said these are called Grip King in the US.
The saddle is a Spyder, the high performance saddle has no padding. This is like an American and Japanese parts collaboration bike. The 650b offers smooth riding on any kinds of roads.
*SURLY* long haul trucker (46)
I built this bike up for the store front. This frame was painted by CookPaint Works. The LHT is designed for a long ride yet it can be a great urban commuter.
The headset is Velo Orange grand cru.
The grips are Ritchey.
The riser handlebar is Nitto’s.
The crankset is Sugino. The chain keeper is made exclusively for us by Paul Components.
The Dia-Compe downtime cable adjuster and bar end control are all black and these are the Blue Lug exclusive.
Tires are Schwalbe City Jet.
The saddle is the Brooks cambium C19, which is a wider saddle for a more upright position.
Please check the Blue Lug bike catalog, you will find your favorite bike.
