LA Trip Report pt.2
Part two of the LA trip report.
Check out pt.1 if you still haven’t.
There were no bike rides on day 2. Instead, they were doing a car show, bike show and a huge swap meet.
I was chatting and making new friends while Sub was grinding getting all these amazing photos.
There were all kinds of bikes, like from something you would see in a museum to the newer types of bikes. It looked like people just brought what they are into, which is probably what Sean expected in the first place. I had never been to events such as NAHBS or MADE, but I imagine it would be something like this. It felt like I could be there forever.
I personally thought the Low Rider Retrotec and the Slim Chance builds were exceptionally beautiful. Sub took more photos, which you can see on our Flickr.
I’m not much into cars, but there were also a ton of cool cars. From classic to compact cars. It kinda made me want a car…
So here are the three winners for the bike show.
The gentleman who got first place had a full suspension GT tandem. Holy heck it was cool.
Sub is currently cooking up a video on the bike show. Stay tuned.
Let’s take a look at some pics of the swap meet.
I think most people were at hanging out at the swap meet.
Old parts, cool shirts and bottles…I had so much stuff I wanted to buy, but I forgot to bring cash, so I couldn’t buy anything, which I really regret. You never know when you are going to need cash in 2024…
A ton of people were hanging out and having fun throughout the whole event. I was super impressed how a bike shop can host such a huge event like this. It was apparent that the town loved The Cub House and what they do. I could tell that they play a huge role in their community. I felt like we (Blue Lug) needed to step our game up.
In the next blog post, I am going to write about The Cub House, the people behind all this amazing event. Everybody is so sweet, I think you’ll fall in love just by reading the posts!
To be continued…
