Today, Mayu and Elliot from 2islandtravellers.com came through Blue Lug Hatagaya. The married couple, Mayu from Osaka and Elliot from London, has been bike packing around literally all over the world.

They were cycling around the African continent, South Africa to Kenya, and UK to Japan. Their next trip is going to Hokkaido to find the hidden side of Japan.


We didn’t meet them in person before but our private brand, Fairweather supported them for their trip. (We made custom frame bags for them.) We knew where they are and what they do from their Instagram account, every day. (If you didn’t follow it yet, you should!)

They are very nice guys like many cyclists, and they shared great stories. Elliot speaks a little bit of Japanese and Mayu speaks English. We are thinking about having their talk event soon.

Bike camping around the world is very foreign to us. The event must be fun!
