On May 9th, Tani and Wentz joined Aze at Blue Lug Kagoshima to hold a Rivendell Owners Meet to thank the Kagoshima Rivendell owners, and to provide a day for locals to get to know more about Rivendell bikes.

Despite the event taking place in far south of Japan, people from all over Japan gathered to celebrate their favorite bicycle brand.

Here is the recap of the day…

30 plus Rivendell owners boarded the ferry with their bikes and headed to Sakurajima.

Sakurajima is known as the most active volcano. You could see the smoke coming out from the mountain in the back ground.

Iwasaki-san from Rock Point Coffee provided coffee for the guests. He has a cool edit of the day on his Instagram, so check it out!

That is Hayasaki-san from Tembea, a Japanese bag brand and Kojima-san from Americana, a Japanese clothing brand who we are both friends and business partners with, posing for the shot. They are both proud Rivendell owners built by Tani!

We carry Tembea goods at Blue Lug and Americana clothes at Friday.

 

 

 

Other than the epic ride, we also did a workshop at the shop.

Tani worked on the famous Grant wraps for the guests.

Delicious meals were also provided by Tatsuno-Otoshigo.

This was another fun workshop.
