Green, Gold and Red
I made these shirts about a year ago.
I didn’t even draw the design and it’s just a straight bootleg of a classic Bahama souvenir, but I like it.
Fortunately, the We Be Ridin’ series are expanding and I have already made a few merch from it.
Tees, hats and stickers. (The hats are restocked btw✌️)

I’m very grateful that people overseas are digging the merch as well as out locals. It’s crazy to think that these are on shelves of bike shops outside of Japan.
Not sure if I can even call it a project, but I’m just excited that this thing is starting to kick off.
We just got a new merch of the We Be Ridin’ series, so let’s take a look.
I actually had the sample of the bag on my bike when I went to the OMM 2024 event.
As you can see, we have made the Hip Messenger in the We Be Ridin’ special color-way.
Yes, the colors are bright, but I love how it works as an accent for builds without anodized parts. If you have a pretty solid build, adding colorful bags is one way to spice things up.
As you can see, the bag is a 3-way bag. It can work as a shoulder bag, hip bag and a bar bag. There are no special features inside the bag as the regular Hip Messenger Bags.
If you are going to use the bag as a bar bag, you will need to get two straps to make it work. (I recommend the Stem Bag Strap or Voile Nano straps)
My favorite feature would be the U-lock holster. Now I don’t have to put the lock in my butt pocket or strap it down to a rack or the basket. You just gotta slide it out and slide it back in when you are done.
(This is how the holster looks like)
One of the cooler features about this bag is that it has a We Be Ridin’ name tag that was made specifically for this bag. The red tarpaulin.
Ever since I started making these, my coworkers have been referring me as the “Rasta guy”. To be honest, I wasn’t so much into Reggae. I was more of a hip hop kid growing up.
But I suddenly remembered an interaction I had with my dad back when I was a little kid.
One day, my father was listening to Bob Marley in our house.
“I wanna listen to something else!” yelled the small Shin.
“Ya sure son? You don’t know that you were kicking and dancing a lot whenever we let you listen to Bob when you were in Mom’s stomach?” Dad replies.
Now that I am 30 years old and married, I felt warm inside imagining that my parents were dancing to Bob Marley and letting their first son listen to Bob’s music.
Hmm, maybe there is a reason why I’m attracted to the colors green gold and red after all.
Anywho, I’m just super stoked that I am in a position to make a product I like here at Blue Lug and I am more than thankful for the people who dig the stuff I designed.
My goal with We Be Ridin’ is to bring peace to people’s hearts with the joy of having a hobby like cycling and skateboarding.
The world can be full of miserable shit sometimes, so keeping your mind off of negativity with something you have a passion for is crucial!
The bag is now up on the website and available in stores!
Jah!
