Cruising With Matt, Fu and da boys

You’ve probably already seen this all over the social media, but Matt from Crust Bikes, Jimmy from Fabrica De Rosas and Louie Lopez the pro skater was in Japan about a month ago.
They were just visiting for fun, but they were nice enough to hangout with us pretty much the whole time during their trip. We went to eat dinner, did some Karaoke at an Izakaya and drunk some “Future Lemon Sour” which is an alcoholic drink that’s apparently going viral in the states.
I had so much fun hanging out with those boys. I already miss them a lot!
Main Topic!
This is Fu, an owner of the Evasion Trail 140. Fu and I promised a bike ride when we went for dinner, last time we met.
Matt, the owner of Crust Bikes miraculously didn’t have any plans on the day of the ride, so we invited him over to the ride, along with a few Blue Lug dudes!
A total of 8 Crust riders came out to the ride.
Here’s a few snaps from that ride.
We climbed A LOT
We got so tired
Tommy was a great climber. A wall climber that is.
What a great view of lovely bikes!
We got three flat tires in total, but I’m glad we survived the ride.
Bike check!
Matt rode Cent’s Romanceur Disc.
Tommy with is fresh non-boost Evasion.
Cent with his Bombora ENVE.
Takuma with his Bombora Sea Creature Green
Me with my Evasion Trail 140.
Sub the photographer/filmer was on his Alumalith.
Shoutout to Jun-san who runs a clothing shop called Yell. He rode his Evasion Lite, built by Cent.

Gotta go visit his shop soon!
And this is Fu’s bike.

Built by himself with old parts he had.
I built mine with 26+ wheel set up, but Fu chose the 27.5+ wheel set up. Fu apparently likes higher BB.
Having different wheel sizes makes the bike feel completely different. The 26+ feels more stable, but I would definitely choose 27.5+ for touring or longer rides.
Fu mentioned that he also likes the 26+ wheels on my Trail 140. We’re always looking for something we don’t have.
I built my Trail 140 single speed, and I’m now considering to put some gears on it after riding Fu’s geared set up.
That’s a Fairweather HandlebarBag ADV on the front.
Purp N’ Yellow!

Fu has a background in BMX and MTB, so he has a really cool riding style. His wallrides were incredible.
Terrible One grips. I love these.
The Evasion Trail 140 is such a fun bike.
“It looks like a chill bike with its long top tube, but I can actually rip with this thing! My favorite part about this frame is the step-over style frame and the graphics. I just love Honda CT90”.
Gonna end this one with a video of this ride.
Thanks!
