Bike Checks from Blue Lug Kamiuma
Hello everyone! How are you doing? This is Rokkaku from Blue Lug Kamiuma.
Our youngest mechanic, Wantz is working on Tomii Cycles Canvas that is handmade bike from Austin Texas.
We cannot wait to show you the complete bike.
Dunkan is working on All City Macho King LTD, He is adjusting Hydraulic brakes. We are busy as always.
We work on a lot of kind of bikes such as cyclocross bikes and handmade road bikes, however the most popular bike in Blue Lug Kamiuma is Surly Cross Check. It can be a road bike or commuter bike, even like a mountain bike too.
Let me show you Cross Check we built recently.
This Cross Check is our customer’s first bike.
The stem and handlebar are Nitto’s, made in Japan. Dull finish is very beautiful. Nitto did strict quality verification before selling their parts so it’s very reliable.
This cream gray is a custom painting from CookPaint Works.
The 8 speed bar-end shift levers are not latest technology, but it is less expensive and cheaper to fix.
The saddle is from WTB. Panaracer pasela is like cost-effective. The BL Select slit seatpost is affordable but it doesn’t look cheap.
This Cross Check is like a reloading bike. Some parts were from owner’s old MTB.
The handlebar is the old Syncros riser handlebar. I was surprised that the brake levers and shift levers worked fine.
The drivetrain was also from his old MTB. He lives on a hill so the triple chain set is ideal for him.
The royal blue Brooks are very nice. The size is 58, which looks good.
The last Cross Check is a full-overhauling bike.
The handlebar bag is Swift Industries Paloma Bar bag.
The Philwood seat clamp and the Philwood bottom bracket are new.
The Honjo fender is like a magic. It makes your riding in the rain amazingly comfortable.
These Cross Checks are very different from each other.
