Since May, “HATOHOTATE’s Bicycle & Dog” has been making its way around Japan.
After wrapping up the domestic tour in Japan, the exhibition crossed the ocean and recently made stops in LA at The Inconvenience Store and HIGHTIDE STORE DTLA. It’s been an absolute dream to see this project travel so far.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited the “HATOHOTATE’s Bicycle and Dog” tour events and welcomed us along the way!
We’ve received so many inquiries and know many of you have been waiting patiently.
The wait is finally over, and “HATOHOTATE’s Bicycle & Dog” is now available on the BLUE LUG online store!
From here, I’d like to share a few of my personal favorites from the collection.
My top pick is, of course, the Stroll Sacoche, the centerpiece of this event.
Made with padded plaid fabric, it’s easy to pair with everyday outfits and super practical to use. Definitely one of my favorites!
The one I’m most satisfied to make was Manner Pouch.
Thanks to the odor-proof lining, that smell is barely noticeable anymore.Attaching it to the outside of your bag also frees up space inside.
A little tip: if you start noticing odors again, turn the pouch inside out and leave the odor-proof lining in direct sunlight to help bring back its effectiveness.

This cute water bottle is one of those things you’ll want to bring everywhere! It’s a must-have for both quick cleanups and keeping your pup hydrated.
When I forget to bring my dog’s water bowl, I use the bottle cap as a little dish for them to drink from.
But lately, my pup has learned a new trick drinking straight from the bottle itself!

Pachi-Pachi kun was a huge hit at this event, so does it even need an introduction!?
The whole thing is made of reflective material that lights up when it catches the light.
Plus, press the button on its nose and it starts flashing! The batteries are replaceable, so you can keep using it again and again.
It turns your nighttime dog walks into a disco party. So much fun!

The Dog Decals, Sticker Pack, and Hotahota Skip Stickers are all awesome in their own way, but I love the Dog Decals most. I’ve got one on the milk crate of my own bike, and it’s made outings with my dog even more fun. Definitely one of those little things that brings a lot of joy!
I also love putting the stickers inside my phone case and the Skip Seals on the outside. The layered look adds a little extra dimension and makes everything even cuter. It makes you feel more attached to your stuff, too. Never underestimate the power of a good sticker!
For the Frisbee, I highly recommend the glow-in-the-dark version! It lights up at night, making it extra fun.
The Safety Flag is also super cute when it flutters in the breeze, so I’d love to see it on a kids’ bike. It adds a playful touch and makes every ride a little more fun!

This little floating pen might get lost among all the other goodies, but bringing it to life was such a special moment for both me and HATOHOTATE! It’s one of those classic souvenirs I used to admire in gift shops, so getting to make one myself as an adult felt pretty surreal.
And here’s the fun part: tilt the pen and watch the man riding a bike with his dog move! I hope you’ll enjoy that little detail, too. (And yes, the pen itself writes really well!)
Most people who picked up the poster or message card told us they were planning to display them at home!
Putting them in a frame gives them a whole different look, too. Perfect for adding a little HATOHOTATE’s touch to your space.
In the end, I couldn’t help but share every single item because I love them all too much!
