Nitto Sync Bars Restocked!
The first batch of the bars in July 2025 were gone super quick, all thanks to your support.
The project of the Sync Bars started when I found out about a Nitto bar from the 90s called the B805. The original B805 bars were on a vintage Araya MTB that came in the shop for a bar swap. I didn’t know which brand the bars were at the time, but I just really liked the shape of it.

Here’s the picture of the original handlebar.
I soon noticed the Nitto logo when I took the handlebar off the bike.

The original bar was 580mm wide. It was just a random all-rounder bar from the time. I contacted Nitto to ask if we can make a wider version of these to meet the modern standards. I already knew that they will be a killer.
The OG B805 bar was about to be thrown away, but it made its way back to the Nitto factory as a sample. Its become a full circle now.

Nitto was able to extend the bars to 700mm. They let me pick out my favorite Nitto logo and that became the Sync Bar. It’s a very simple bar, but I just love the shape. These bars look great on track bikes, but also look nice on vintage mountain bikes or gravel bikes.

18° back sweep.
Despite its simple look from the front, you can see it has a solid “back sweep.”
As I mentioned in a previous blog post, this angle makes it less tiring for riding long distances. Plus, it delivers the active feel and intuitive control I personally seek. It’s absolutely perfect.
If you missed out last time, we have more available this time around, so be sure to grab yours! I couldn’t get the silver one for myself last time, so I know I’m getting one this time. The silver one I have on my La Marche is the one I’m borrowing from Samba.
Now that we have more build samples including my own bike, let’s take this time to drool on the build photos.
This is my La Marche Track. The bars feel really nice on this thing, in terms tricks and simply riding.
Here’s one on the Crust Wombat. See? it looks really natural on MTBs. It’s not too flashy or too wide.
These bars are actually great for Bromptons too. It has more sweep than the stock bars, so you can ride more relaxed. You may need to cut a few millimeters off though.
This New World Tourist by Bike Friday was also looking super nice!

And of course a Surly Midnight Special!
