Happy New Year, this is Ming.
In 2025, I traveled to the US for the first time and Australia for the first time. Looking back, it was a year where I personally focused particularly on overseas opportunities, and this year I want to enjoy more activities in that direction. Of course, I will also be enjoying outdoor activities such as, bikepacking and camping. I would love to keep on having fun on bikes with you guys in 2026.
Alright, let’s talk about the first very special event of this year. with some lovely guests!
🌴CRUST BIKES HANGOUT🌴
Matt and Cheech from Crust Bikes are coming to Japan!
We will be hosting an event on Jan. 17th and 18th at Blue Lug Hatagaya. All Crust owners unite!
Jan. 17th (Sat) 9-11 am Coffee Outside at Yoyogi park
Jan. 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun) 12-7pm POP-UP at BLUE LUG Hatagaya
Matt and Cheech will be at the event whole day on the 17th. We will be having a coffee outside meeting in the morning of the 17th.
Bring your own coffee and breakfast and make your way to Yoyogi park!
Let’s get together and hangout! Bring your friends, families, partners, dogs, cats, or whoever. We will be at the park around 11am.
After the meeting, the Crust pop-up at the Hatagaya starts at 12pm. (Please note that there will be no coffee outside meeting on the 18th)
The idea of this event sparked up while we were in Australia in November.
Jaime from Fabrica De Rosas and his homies also came from LA. We got to hangout and host a bikepacking trip while we were there. We had such a great time.
Matt and Cheech are a married couple who operate Heaps Good Garage in Australia, which is Crust’s warehouse and distribution facility. They also have an HQ in Richmond Virginia USA.
Matt has been to Japan a few times, but this will be Cheech’s first time coming to Japan!

What’s Coffee Out Side?
It is a social get together where we gather in a park or some type of spot with our bikes and have coffee and breakfast together.
We’ve done this Velo Orange and Rivendell when they came to Japan.
It’s always a great time meeting with other cyclists and chatting while spending a chill morning. You don’t need to own a Crust bike to attend. Any body is welcome to the meet. But if you do have a Crust, it’s the perfect time to ride it and show your rig to the brand owners!
The pop-up will held at Blue Lug Hatagaya in the event space. It will be open from 12-7 pm, same as the shop itself. Matt and Cheech will be at the event the whole time on the 17th, but still uncertain on the 18th.
Limited items will be available at the event. There will be no online releases for these products. I am sorry in advance.
The graphic on the sweatshirt is something that Crust made specifically for this event! Love the hardcore/metal band-ish vibe.
Cheech named this one the “Lil Beach Angels Sweatshirt”. How dare you say those are devils!
We’ve made silk screens for this event as well. We gotta make safety vests a thing in Japan!
We’ve printed their designs on a lot of random stuff. They are all one of its kind.
I was reminded how our products have authentic designs that anybody can wear or use anytime without growing tired of it. And our sewing team is truly amazing for creating pieces that are functional too!
That’s exactly why I was thinking while printing that I really want people to DIY stuff like printing their favorite designs or adding patches they like.
Anyhow, we will also be offering silk screen printing to purchased products on that day.
We will also be offering some items we bought while we were at Heaps Good Garage!
There are Crust bars and stems that we haven’t carried, brakes and more parts, along with some soft goods that we’ve never purchased from them.
Most of the items are one of one at the event. We have a few of the bottles and Voile straps though.
We are limiting to one purchase to avoid hoarding. Thank you for your kind understanding in advance.
Lastly, we have made two types of stickers for this special event. We will be handing these out for free, so holler at the staff members if you want them!
