Very nice two new frame colors.
“Banana Slug”, A matte black frame with a matte yellow fork.
Some dudes at the shop were referring the color to Fat Chance or Wu-Tang Clan

And the other color is Sea Cucumber Green.
It has a cool smokey finish, which I really like. I like how both colors are inspired by two animals that move slow, since their slogan is “Ride Slow Die Whenever” .
I was lucky enough to build one of the Banana Slug frames for Momo, one of the chefs from our cafe/restaurant/bar, Lug.
*STRIDSLAND* beachcomber (54/banana slug)
This was actually my first time building a Beachcomber. I’m a huge fan of the bike’s style.
Momo is 177cm tall and he chose the medium frame size. His saddle height is 74cm.
The philosophy behind the bike design, the huge tire clearance and the gazillion eyelets is something, but the straight lines and small details are truly beautiful.

Love seeing them shredding on the bike. It always gets me hyped.
Momo being a fan of their content, he chose some great parts for the build.
Bullship Bars are new in stock.
They’ve been showing these bars on their socials, so some of y’all might have been waiting for them for a long time. The bars have a whopping 45° stem angle, 120mm rise, 7° up sweep with 160mm bar end height. If you have a bike that has a short steerer tube, or an old MTB with a short head tube, but want an upright position, these bars should do the trick.
The bar width is 850mm. No trim for this build, as Matias the owner of the brand suggests.
Fun fact, the B903 bar, which was desined by us is on Matias’ Morati. I was stoked when I found this build.

Stridsland is known for their love for 26+, but I tried 27.5″ wheels for this build. Momo was going to ride this bike mainly for commute, so we decided to go with 27.5″, since there are more options for tires.
The tire width for this build is 2.5″, which might be the max judging by how tight it is in the fork. It doesn’t have to be this fat, but Matias suggests at least 2.3″ tires, if you’re going to build it with 26″.
High BB, (35mm BB drop) will provide enough clearance with 26×2.3″ tires.
The fork spacing is 100x15mm, which is pretty rare, but the hub I used is a 100x12mm.
This is possible thanks to the adaptors that Stridsland makes. Such genius!
Middleburn cranks. RS7 square tapered MTB cranks with RO1 spider.
We happened to have chainring, crank caps, chainring bolts from Stridsland.
Red and pink is a new color.
Left : Pink, right : light pink
The Middleburn logo was painted by Cook Paint Works.
I put some gold bits for fun.
Momo wanted a basket. It was tough to decide what rack to use, but I chose the Nitto M-1B rack. It was quite hard to install the rack to this wide fork, but the NITTO campee bolt set “long” made it possible.
Thanks Momo for letting me build your bike!
Thanks for always providing delicious meals too!
Thanks for reading!
