I can only understand 15% of the stuff people are saying during the event, but I learned a lot after watching the video with Japanese subtitles.
Man, I really wish I can speak and understand more English. I gotta study if I’m going to the event next year.
Alright, part two of my Made 2024 report.
Let’s start off with the Ultradynamico booth.
They had the latest bike displayed under the Ron’s Bikes name. It was a full rigid aluminum 29er MTB.
The bike was very reminiscent of Cannondale, Specialized and other MTBs from the 90s, but had a modern twist.
Ultraromance having an MTB racing background, this bike made total sense.
I remember Patrick pointing the brake hanger with a big smile on his face.
The chainstay guard made out of old Cava tires was a very nice touch.

Something magical about Ronnies riding. It makes you think that he’s someone who can bring you back in time, back in the sweet 90s. I still believe that he is a fairy who appeared in the bicycle industry.

We are now at the Brooks booth. The Sklar coffee bike from last year is still fresh in my memory, but we were able to see a very cool bike this year the Brooks booth as well.
There were a bunch of Brooks saddles displayed with the bike that possibly was getting the most attention. The La Marche Mini Velo.
Tom brought a few track bikes to the show last year and I was very surprised to see that he decided to bring a mini-velo.
The BMX style bike had internal gear hub, generator hub, and a one-off front rack for the bike. We instantly fell in love with this bike which Tom calls Pit Bike.
The bike was crazy, but what’s even more crazy is that Clint bought this bike at the event!
People at the event probably thought this dude was crazy, and yes I can confirm that we thought the same way.
The bike is displayed at the Yoyogi-park store if you want to see it in person.
This gentleman is the only person in the US who can officially repair Brooks saddles.
Tom is a close friend, which lead to them sharing the booth.
We made it to the Swift Industries booth.
They were displaying their latest bags along with the bikes from Pine, who they are close with.
Their new Capstone handlebar should be out on Swift’s website by the time this goes up.
We also saw a new tote style basket bag as well.
Black Magic Paint.
I’m always mind blown by their work, just by seeing their IG posts, so to see their paint job in person was actually nuts.

This is Rudi, the man behind the mind blowing paint jobs.

Rudi is an amazing bicycle mechanic and a painter. I wish our painter Konno was here to chat with him.
We saw a new aluminum monstercross model named “Chessie” at the Velo Orange booth. It had a segmental steel fork.(what the heck is wrong with this picture…)
I can see that mini velos and aluminum frames are becoming a trend now…
I love the real Clint. Every time meeting with him is nice.
The Blue Lug Clint really looks like Clint’s real little brother.
I am a fan of Caletti. The builder unfortunately couldn’t make it to the event, but the people around him set up the booth.
Their bikes were amazing.
English, one of Tyler from BTCHN’s and my favorite builders.
Tyler came with us to English’s booth and told be about their bikes in detail.
The polished stainless steel folding gravel was insane (details here)
The Sycip booth had some insane builds too, like this Double Dribble MTB.
Retrotec, who are friends with Sycip, had their booth right next to each other. The single speed rim brake MTB was nice. (They are apparently coming to Circles!)
This prototype I often see on their IG with the Hunter rack was super sick.
Ahearne, who are making a move to Portland this year, are builders who are famous for their Cycle Trucks.
I thought the steering stopper that they made by punching a hole into the head tube and the steerer tube for a pin to be placed, was very interesting.
Their one off racks always brings joy to my eyes.
The titanium mini velo at their booth had a Z-coupler with wireless components. They are just different.
Speaking of which, Fat Chance also had a disc road bike with Z-couplers on. The steel fork ti Yo Eddy! was also beautiful.
Seeing the legend Chris Chance in person was a great experience for me.
SQUID x PRANDUS booth.
The VRY HARD, a tracklocross frame from Squid made with Prandus had this asymmetric paint along with a hotdog kitchen bike! 20 inch again!
