CMWC
(Cycle Messenger World Championship)とは
世界中の主に交通網が発達した大都市で、自転車の利点を活かした配送を担うメッセンジャーという存在。
そのメッセンジャーたちが年に一度、立候補の中から選ばれた都市を舞台に開催する世界選手権を兼ねたお祭りです。
横浜を舞台にした今大会の開催期間は9月20日(水)〜25日(月)。デリバリーレースをはじめとしたメインコンテンツは9月23日(土)・24日(日)に日産スタジアムで行われます。(入場料なし&出入り自由です!)
さらに期間中は横浜の名所&観光エリアを使ったレース、アートショー、マーケット、パーティーなど様々なイベントが行われます。
What is CMWC?
(Cycle Messenger World Championship)
Bicycle messengers are people who work for courier companies carrying and delivering items by bicycle. Bicycle messengers are most often found in the central business districts of metropolitan areas.
CMWC is an anuual competition/festival by bicycle messengers from the world to decide who is the fastest.
Yokohama being the main venue, the event will be held from September 20th (Wed) to 25th (Mon). Delivery Race, Cargo Race and most of the main contents will take palce at the Nissan Stadium(free entry & exit) on September 23rd (Sat) and 24th (Sun).
There will be art shows, parties, markets and races thrown at the toursist spots of Yokohama throughout the week.

紙上に書かれたコースとマニフェスト(配送指示)で最速で配達を完了する問題を解く模擬デリバリーレースを行います。

INTERVIEWS BIKE PEOPLE for CMWC
ちかっぱ
2015年からは6大会連続でCMWCに参戦、2022年のニューヨーク大会で通算8度目にしてついに世界一に輝いた横浜Curio-City所属のメッセンジャー。
TOMMY
メッセンジャーでありポロプレイヤーでもあるTOMMYさん。CMWCのコース設計やボランティアスタッフのチームビルディングを担当。
児玉利文
現役の競輪選手であり、sfidare CRITを主催。競輪でもロードレースでも味わえない独特の興奮がsfidare CRITにはあると児玉さんは語ってくれました。
次長
1週間に及ぶCMWCの大会期間に行われる毎日のイベントを企画する次長さん。曰く「レースイベントはゴールシーンを想像するところから考え始める」と。
宮田浩介
英語教員として教鞭をとるかたわら自転車利用者の環境改善など社会的テーマに取り組まれている宮田さん。CMWCホームページなどの翻訳を担当。
サンテ & ヤナケン
