Let’s see…When was that…

The time when the members of the Blue Lug Jogging club asked me if I could make a pouch, or some kind of a holster or a belt specifically made to put your belonging while you are out on a run.

I made tons of prototypes, went for tons of test runs, and I finally managed to finish the actual product.

I present to you, the “RUNNING BELT”

Jogging has become quite popular among Japanese people after the quarantine days, since they gained a lot of weight staying in their homes.

Since then, many jogging related products are going around the market.

This belt type pouch(?) is not an exception. You could see many other companies releasing the same kind of products.I tried to make something for the people who enjoy a nice casual jog. Nothing too crazy. If I were to compare this product to something, I would say it is as if you made a belt with the back pocket of a cycling jersey.

Let me brake down the belt for you.
The main compartment is a big pocket with two openings. The pocket is big enough to fit a water bottle or a long flask.
The stitch on the center is bar tacked, so that you won’t have to worry about any loose threads. I used a flexible material, for you to have more comfort while running. Also the whole belt is made of mesh fabric, so that you could get a nice ventilation around your waist.

Due to the high flexibility, you are able to fit objects in various forms, such as water bottles. (They could hold on to them pretty good)
Another great feature is the loop on the side. You can hook up stuff that you don’t want to loose, like keys for example.

There are two sizes for the Running Belt. S/M and L/XL.

Here are the measurements…
S/M waist 23 inches to 30 inches.
L/XL waist 28 inches to 36 inches.

Like I said, the belt has a high flexibility. The size chart is just an idea.
For your information, the guys of the Jogging club are all wearing S/M.

Now let’s see what the members of the Jogging club were carrying in their Running Belts…

This is Matsu, a.k.a. the boss of Blue Lug Yoyogikoen. 170cm(5’5 ft) tall, skinny.
Inside his belt are…Phone, keys, and a bandana.

Next up is Digital, the mechanic of Blue Lug Hatagaya. 165cm (5’4 ft) tall, also skinny.
Inside his belt are…Phone, keys, and air pods.

Lastly, Chuyan, the store manager for Blue Lug Hatagaya. 180cm (6 ft) again, skinny.
Inside his belt are… Phone, keys, and sometimes a water bottle.

I was surprised that no one was carrying a wallet.
Apparently, they all use cashless payment by their phones. What an awesome time we live in huh?

This product has nothing to do with bikes. But sometimes it’s nice to get some exercise on your own feet.

And finally,I wanted to share this rad photo. It looks like one of those ads for a sports company doesn’t it?
