Rivendell Joe Appaloose Bike Checks
We are a huge fan of Rivendell Cycle from Walnut Creek, California. It is probably the second popular bike brand in our shop. Let me show you the 2 Rivendell Joe Appaloose we’ve built up recently.
RIVENDELL / Joe Appaloosa SIZE:55
The owner kept parts from his old MTB and we installed some new parts on this.
The beautiful logo. This is one of the reasons we love Rivendell. Fenders are a good idea throughout the winter.
The handlebar is the Bosco Bullmoose, which is Rivendell designed and Nitto exclusively made it.
The Rivendell Misha’s Portuguese tree cork grips were installed. The grips are made of heigh quality Portuguese cork. We painted black and then sprayed shellac on it, which prevent the migration of color. Hopefully I will show you how to do it sooner.
The saddle is Brooks. The same color as the grips.
His old rear derailleur worked fine, therefore we decided to keep using it.
This is the all round bike for everyday commuting, grocery shopping, and at some point touring.
RIVENDELL / Joe Appaloosa SIZE:51
The owner comes to our shop very often, and this is his third bike he got in our shop.
We just chose a main color, red and then assembled mainly American parts except Nitto racks.
The headset is ChrisKing.
The handlebar is Bullmoose bar, which is a collaboration with Nitto and Rivendell.
The brake levers are Paul. The grips are the Rivendell Misha’s Portuguese tree cork grips.
The hubs are also Paul Components.
The Nitto Rivendell big rack is designed by Rivendell.
The crankset is White Industries.
This bike has fat-tire clearances. The WTB 47 byway excels in gravel and dirt, but doesn’t give up anything on paved surfaces.
This one is like a bad-ass road touring bike! You check more Rivenndell bike photos on our bike catalog!
