Hey! This is NB. I bought the new Knog PWR light for the night race in Iizuna Cyclocross Meeting.

Knog PWR is a modular system of bike lights, Changing the light-head to be brighter, changing the battery to go longer, charging the devices to do more.

There are 3 types of device, like Road, Trail and Mountain, and 3 kinds of battery modules and 3 kinds of light head modules. I was going to get a medium power, Trail but it wasn’t as portable as I thought so I bought a smaller light, Road. Even though Road is the smallest size we carry, it is 600 lumens power, which is the most powerful I’ve ever used. The light I got 5 years ago was 15000 yen and 300 lumens and this one is 9800 yen and 600 lumens.

Twisting the head works as the switch one of six lighting modes: a broad and smoothly-edged beam in max, mid or stamina, as well as a flashing light in strobe, pulse and eco-flash.

The lights has a simple silicone mount that rotates 360 degrees. The simple hinged clamp is easy to fit around the bars while the threaded clasp allows it to be adjusted with ease for a sure hold. I wish Knog will produce mounts for a handlebar bag or a front rack, though.

There were no problems with the light even in a harsh conditions. It was bright enough for finding good lines.

I was impressed that the battery was still fully charged after the 40 minute race.

A Japanese distributor of Knog, Dia Tech Products also lent us the lights for the Nobeyama Night Cross, I through. Because of the lights, we had a great time. Thank you very much for the cooperation.
