Bike Checks from Blue Lug Hatagaya

Hello everyone! I am Koro from Blue Lug Hatagaya.

As I work in the bicycle shop in Tokyo, I introduce many kinds of bikes to customers every day, such as handmade road bikes and cyclocross bikes. However, most of the bikes that people ride everyday don’t belong to any categories. Therefore, I personally call them “Everyday bike.”

Let me show you Everyday bikes that we built lately.

*SURLY* Cross Check

I believe this bike has unlimited potential. Depends on component parts, this bike transforms a lot.
This one is a single speed bike. It is very simple, so it’s easy to maintain. Lube a chain and pump the tires, then you can ride it every day.
The hubs are Philwood. Its durability is super high. It is not affordable, but it lasts very long.
The bar tape, skin sidewall tires and Paul canti brake look classic.

*All-City* Nature Boy Disc
If you don’t want to ride a plain bike every day, All-Ciy Nature boy is a great choice. I like All-City’s geometry, and a single speed disc cross is fun to ride. The handlebar is the Nitto For Shred Bar and other parts are Paul. The orange headset and the cotton saddles look great. Nature Boy Disc has eyelets so it can install fenders.

*Rivendell* Cheviot
This is our regular customer’s new bike, Rivendell Cheviot. He already has Mash Works and Surly. The Schmidt hub dynamo, Busch Muller’ light and the Pass and Stow rack are a beautiful combination. Color spacers and straps are great accents. This is a cool everyday bike.
