ATBM Report
Hey! Samba from Blue Lug Yoyogi-park here.
I’d like to share my report of the ATBM (All Terrain Bike Meeting) I attended with Kaneyan last weekend.
ATBM is a local bike event hosted by Crumb Works, I.D.E. Store and Alt Cycles. Very cool people in the Japanese bike industry.
The event itself is full of energy and unity. People who participate all work together to make the event. It was interesting to see the local connection.
Due to the event taking place on the temple grounds, time seemed to pass in a relaxed and happy way.
The booth of one of the hosts, Crumb Works was filled tons of gems. I of course bought a lot of stuff this day.
There were also cool booths from people like Nitto, Barber Sakota, Chouchin Cycles, Gino, Ghoo0st and so on.
The bike contest, which was open to the public, was a huge success!
There were so many beautiful bikes in the contest, but there was also a ton of sweet bikes in the bike parking area. This place was also a contest for sure!

We recorded a bike check video, so stay tuned for that.
As first-time participants, we at Blue Lug set up a booth under the theme “Old Surly Remember & Fork Shop.”
2026 is the 20th anniversary year for us Blue Lug and Surly has played a huge role in the twenty years of our business. It was Kaneyan’s idea to gather old Surly frames and extra forks from our warehouse and display them.
As a result, our booth turned into a forest of bike forks and other parts!
It seemed like a lot of people were desperate for forks. I’m glad they got to grab forks for their new projects.
Kaneyan made t-shirts that had a photo of the 1×1 Rat Ride he took in Minneapolis when he rode with the Surly crew.
And of course he participated in the bike contest with his 1×1! I love when Kaneyan is talking about Surly. He was telling all these stories to people with so much passion.

The t-shirts did very well at the event, and we felt like it’ll be a waste not to have them available for people who couldn’t make it to the event, so we listed them online. Check the shirts here!
I printed some zines with some photos I took, in my trip to the US and photos that I took in my ordinary life.
Fortunately, we’ve sold most of the copies, but I still have a few of them at the Yoyogi-park store.
There are still more things I’d like to write, but that’ll take so much time, so here is a photo dump!
ATBM was a great event that made me realize that I frickin love bikes!
I hope I can attend the next event.
