Hey y’all, Ming reporting about an exciting news today.

First off, I’d like to thank everyone who came to the Ombraz POP-UP! It was a real blast and I simply learned a lot about their product.

I loved how passionate the Ombraz team were about their own products. I could really tell that they love the brand.

Samba was completely won over. In addition to the single-lens Refugio he was already wearing, he picked up a pair of Camminas, which seem even better suited to everyday use. And damn, they look good on him!

This is the model Messi loved so much that he reportedly sent a message saying he wanted the entire Argentina national team to wear them.

Fun fact, Samba was born in Argentina. He goes by Claudio over there, so maybe something about them just spoke to him?

Ultraromance was watching over the pop-up, which kind of made me nervous.

As a new experiment, we hosted a talk event that also doubled as a live recording for YouTube!

We invited Mr. Chiyoda, founder of Moonlightgear, and Mr. Nakatsuchi of OMBRAZ Japan to join us for a cross-talk session.

I think the discussion topics hit the mark, the conversation really took off, which was great to see. Personally, I felt very supported by both of our guests and Wentz throughout the talk. Thank you all!

It also turned into a video that’s just as entertaining to watch after the event.

If you have a moment, give it a watch and we’d love it if you came back to finish reading the blog afterward!

And now, we’re excited to announce that we have officially started carrying Omraz!

They are available at all three of our Tokyo locations, as well as through our domestic and international online stores. We’ll be carrying four models: the Classic, Cammina, Refugio, and Azzuro.

As its name suggests, the Classic was the brand’s very first model and remains its signature design.

If it’s tough for you to make a decision, I recommend getting this model.

TBT!

I like how Beija, from the Ombraz US PR team wears them with prescription lenses.

And of course, you can’t forget about legendary modeling of Ronnie. (borrowed the photo from Ron’s website) I wonder if he self directed this ad.

Handmade in Italy and fitted with world-class Zeiss lenses, they offer an incredibly clear field of vision. They’ve also passed rigorous durability testing, and apparently this model won’t even break when run over by a steamroller (Yes, an actual one. Not the bike)

Take a look at Ultraromance’s Instagram! He’s wearing them in almost every post, which says plenty about just how much he likes them.

The model, Refugio is the one he’s been wearing the most lately.

He was wearing them in his ad for the CR1 bike. The Refugio is the most sporty model, so it’s perfect for bike riding.

The single-lens design provides a wide field of vision, while the deep curve gives it a close, secure fit. Ventilation has also been carefully considered to minimize fogging, so you can stay focused on the ride.

Another distinctive feature is that this is the only model that intentionally uses non-polarized lenses.

The clear, unobstructed view makes it easy to read the terrain and pick out your line, making them ideal for faster-paced riding, or even snowboarding, perhaps? They should perform well across all kinds of sports.

Honestly, this is the standout model for me and plenty of people on our team are already using it.

Even if you currently ride in cycling sunglasses from another brand, I genuinely think you should try these least once. You’re bound to be impressed by just how stress-free they feel.

Made the handmade bike show had just ended . At the Ron’s Bikes booth, even a Refugio dyed red has been incorporated into the  CR1 on display.

I took a screen shot of Issac’s IG stories.

Next up is the Cammina.

This is the one I wear and possibly the most life-style oriented model.

Cammina means “to walk” in Italian, and they’re easy to wear just about anywhere, whether you’re riding or not.

For Ombraz shades, you don’t want to over tighten the straps. You should give it a little room like how Occhi is wearing.

We have all the models displayed like this at the Hatagaya store, so I’d love for y’all to try them out!

Steezy Kaneyan is wearing the new Azzurro, Ombraz’s first full-wrap model.

With a deeper curve and slightly more coverage than the Refugio, they completely block out light coming in from the sides.

This is also the only model to feature polarized mirrored lenses, finished with a water-repellent coating that makes water bead right off. I felt completely comfortable wearing them in the rain at OMM in fact, riding actually felt easier with them on!

Described as a model designed for professionals on the water, these features protect the eyes from intense glare, spray, and all kinds of other elements while maintaining excellent visibility.

I notice the difference most on days when the sun is especially strong, even blazing direct sunlight barely bothers me at all.

They’re obviously perfect for this time of year, but I’m sure they’d also perform brilliantly at high altitudes or in snowy mountains.

And honestly, I simply love how they look.

Even the box looks cool. It just gets you excited.

It’s also great that they’re a carbon-negative product. Apparently, Ombraz plants 20 mangrove trees for every pair sold.

The case for these are very small soft cases, so it doesn’t matter where you stow away.

Since they won’t break even if you step on them, you can casually throw them in your back pocket without worrying. Their slim profile also means they hardly take up any space in your bag, which is great.

Alright! They’re already available at our Hatagaya location, with stock also available at Yoyogi Park and Kamiuma.

They’re going to be live on the domestic and global online stores at 7:00 p.m. JST on Saturday, August 29!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You’re welcome to ask us in store or send an inquiry through either online store.

See you! 🕶
