Great news for bikepacking enthusiasts!

I’m very happy to introduce the new Fork Pack from Fairweather.

You may think these are pannier bags at first glance, but that is not the case.

These bags are more like “rack-less pannier bags.” It’s not exactly a cargo cage either. The most unique feature about these bags is that you could attach the bags directly on to the triple eyelets on the fork. No additional straps are required to fix your stuff, so you can achieve a lightweight and beautiful set up.

There are three major features that make these bags appealing.

①Strong Holding Power
As mentioned earlier, the bags attach to the fork directly, so the bag will not move around or fly off while riding off road.
You could enjoy your ride without worrying about your load when encountering a gravel path along the way.

②Lightweight
Here are some weight comparisons with the same type of products as the Fork Pack.
– FAIRWEATHER 2.5L : 233g
– FAIRWEATHER 5L : 298g
– ORTLIEB 4.1L : 275g
– Tailfin 5L : 387g

There is of course a tradeoff to this. The bag is light, but the bag does not have a quick release function and they are not 100% waterproof. That said, even with that trade-off, the benefits of these bags are clear.

The Fork Packs are available in two sizes :
2.5L – Perfect for stowing sleeping bags or tent tarps. Bar bag+frame bag+fork pack x2=a neat balanced packing. It’s a versatile size.
5L – Great for stowing items that are around 40cm, such as tent poles. They are also large enough to easily hold groceries and other items.

③Simple Packing
No additional straps are required for packing. All you have to do is load up the bag and close the roll-top closure.
We tend to cut corners when it comes to packing when we’re tired from the long trip. This is when the Fork Pack really shines, since you can just throw everything in the bag.

These features and capacity settings were applied after many tests by riders from all over the world, before production.

I would first like to thank “Geno ATB” an ATB crew from Minneapolis.

I would also like to thank Kaisei and his friend Kenta, who participated in The Japanese Odyssey with these bags.
You should be able to tell that we removed any unnecessary features after hard testing.

The bags come with aluminum base plates that will support the bags, which are the heart of this product. The plates are manufactured by MKS, a long-established Japanese pedal manufacturer with expertise in metal component production. It features a simple yet innovative sandwich construction.

Yes! This product is powered by MKS!

Lastly, I’d like to address that you would need triple eyelets on the fork to attach these bags, which have become a common feature for gravel bikes, MTBs and touring frames these days. Here are some of the list of frames that we carry which are compatible with these bags for reference.

Here are some important notes.
*The bags could not be attached if the tripe eyelets are offset, instead of  being straight.
*Please note that the presence and placement of the eyelets may vary depending on the model year, even for the frame models listed above. Please be sure to check the fork before purchase.

If you’re a fan of camping, gravel riding, fishing, bike touring and other outdoor activities and would like to ride your bike actively, please give the Fairweather Fork Packs a try!
