Revolution! Son Rear Dynamo lights

Riding along the Tama river after work.
Not a big ride, but everyone begins to work on their bikes, a few days before the ride. I really love spending time with the bros at Yoyogi-park store. I’m always stoked to go on the night ride.
Tama river in the day time is cool, but I found out that place is as cool at night time.
I’ve been riding my All-Packa a lot lately and I wanted to write about the recent modification I did for this bike to prepare for the next Tamagawa After Dark Ride.
I did a lot of different things to this bike.
Here’s the thing I’m most stoked on.
*SON NABENDYNAMO* rear light seatpost mount.
We all bought rear lights for the night ride, but it turns out that the batteries run out pretty fast, so I decided to try out a rear dynamo light.
Rear dynamo lights work with dyanamo hubs, which you usually install in the front wheel.
The cable routing differs depending on the hub you are using, but this one goes from the hub to front light and front light to rear light. The hub I used for this rig is the Son Nabendynamo hub, of course. Son hubs are very smooth and lasts super long. I highly recommend them.
I chose Son rear dynamo lights too, since I wanted something that I can choose for a long term and for many different builds.
These lights were only available in silver and black, but Son was nice enough to make these four new colors for us.
These four colors reminded me of Nintendo Super Famicom. Super Donkey Kong was my game back then! I don’t know how many times I died in Mine Cart Madness…
I somehow made myself into the Nintendo Shop.
I told the workers that I wanted to do the Famicom Gachapon.
Let’s see what I get!

Ok, back to the main topic.
Two different models arrived.
This works really well with the rear mount for Nitto 32R, 33R and R14.
It also fits on Brompton bikes.
They are compatible with 26-31.6mm seat posts.
I recommend this type, so that you can use them in multiple bike builds.
This light shines bright even at day time, so I feel very safe. There is an ON and OFF switch if you are curious.
I’ve been wanting to do a rear dynamo custom for a long time, so I’m very hyped for this! Can’t wait for the next night ride.
