We Want Baskets For Brompton!

Great news for Brompton riders.
We just got these Brompton front racks made by Nitto!
It is a front rack that makes it possible to install baskets on Bromptons. Something we have been waiting for!
Introducing…
NITTO BM-1F BROMPTON FRONT CARRIER
This is a front rack designed specifically for the front luggage/carrier mounting block for Bromptons.
Just simply slide the rack into the front luggage mounting block and you’re all set.
AND, it’s made by Nitto.
The top is the same dimensions of the *NITTO* M-1B front rack, but the Brompton rack has a “Brompton friendly update”.
What a genius!
There is a plate at the end of the rack that has a hole for installing the Koma Lights.
The Koma light mounting hole is threaded, so you can install the light without any tools.
If you want to use a traditional bike light that you strap onto the handlebar, you can use the eyelets that are on both sides with a lamp holder.
This also looks great.
The rack itself is not large, so big baskets like the Wald 139 or Milk Crates won’t work.
Bronptons are 16″ wheel bikes, so we do not recommend packing a lot of stuff in the basket. It is for making your daily commutes a bit more convenient.
Here are some good baskets to use with these racks.
You are probably wondering, would it fold properly with a basket?
Yes, but you can also remove the rack easily, so you can just stack the rack + basket like in the photo above when folding.
We usually use zipties or Voile Straps to fix the basket to the rack.
FYI, they can be attached onto Bike Fridays too, as long as your Bike Friday has the Brompton Luggage Mounting Block that are in their additional option when ordering.
