It was nice to see you again, Benjamin! He came to the Blue Lug Hatagaya for the first time in 3 years.
8 years ago, his dad gave this Rivendell Atlantis to him for his birthday.
Bike touring is his most favorite thing so he was going to go bike packing in northeast Japan this time.

 

Today was very busy. It was the last day of 3 days holiday in Japan. Busy is good but it definitely made my memory foggy. Like time flies.

Anyways, let me show you 2 Rivendell Clem Smith Jr. we built up lately!

Clem Smith jr. L style is a true mixte bike, which has the down top tube. It’s easy to throw a leg over, so this bike is great for ladies when she wears a skirt and commutes.

The owner came to the store with her husband and as soon as she took a look at the bike, she fell in love. She loves especially rugged and the logo.

Clem Smith Jr is sold as a complete bike so, for saving money, we just changed some parts from it.

*RIVENDELL* clem smith jr.(45)The owner didn’t need many gears so we put a single chainring. On top of that, we installed Shimano Claris road levers, which are more offer fast and accurate gear changes at the touch of a lever for road bike performance.

*RIVENDELL* clem smith jr.(45)The saddle that came with the complete bike was a little too old school, so we chose the Brooks Flyer. This saddle has classically sprung designed for comfortable long distance riding.

 

*RIVENDELL* clem smith jr.(45)The Nitto Rivendell 32R rear rack with the Wald basket is on point because you do not need to swing a leg back over the basket. It would be a great idea to put the childseat on a mixte bike too. We hope she enjoys riding this cool bike with her husband.

The next bike is the Rivendell Clem Smith Jr. H-style. This one has a high top tube (H-style) which is formerly known as Boy’s bike.
