Let’s Evade
Did y’all see this post from the Radavist?

There were so many cool sneak peaks in the post. I can’t wait to see Crust Bike’s upcoming projects.
I have been eyeing the Lightning Bolt for a long time and seeing the lugged version of the bike was so cool, even though it will most likely not be produced as an actual product we can get our hands on.
This post was also interesting

Shoutout to The Cub House crew for the hospitality.
Go check out both posts if interested.
Now, I love the Crust Evasion. It’s one of my favorite bikes I own.
The Evasion is a dirt touring bike that fits a wide variety of wheel sizes, 26 inch to 29 inch. It’s single speed convertible and has internal routings for a dropper seat post.
The bike is also available in S – XXL, so many people with different body size can ride this bike.
You can ride it single speed as a trail bike, take advantage of the durability and go on a bikepacking tour, or throw on baskets and make it your getting around bike.

(Everyday Bike Crusts are always sick)
The bikes that Crust make always has a bit of an edge, so it’s always fun to build and to just look at them.
The design of the Evasion is actually based on the Surly Cross x Check, so I’m starting to think that the single speed convertible feature is definitely a key feature for this frame, since they have kept it after a few changes.
Another cool thing about Crust Bikes is their frame colors and graphic designs. Cheech, the co-owner and Matt’s wife is the person behind most of their frame’s paint and graphics, which is very wholsome
Here is a recent build I did for a customer.
*CRUST BIKES* evasion (M/pastel speckle’d black)
Just look at this fun finish!
The polish and silver part selection makes the paint job pop, even more.
White Industries XMR hubs with Velocity Blunt SS rims.
I love how the gray Ultradynamico tires work as an accent to a black frame.
Phil Wood Stainless Headsets.
XMC crank with Stridsland chain ring and a pair of polished MKS Allways Pedal.
Crust Harvey Mushman Riser Bar, 24° back sweep.
I used blue and gold small parts to give the bike some more colors. I really love that Crust Bikes look great with multiple colors like this.
Next Evasion!
*CRUST BIKES* evasion (XM/romantic silver)
“Romantic Silver”, don’t you just love the color name?
The clear coat finish makes the frame look like it’s champagne gold from certain angles. It’s a beautiful finish.
They went with a clean black logo on this finish, which I thought was brilliant.
This build was pretty insane. I had a lot of fun on this project.
We can’t ignore the Stridsland Barnacle Lite Fork.
The original fork is great, but I also can’t deny the beauty of a straight fork and the orderer of this bike agreed.
White Industries rear hub + Astral Outback rims and Son + Astral Outback for the wheels.
BUSCH+MULLER IQ-X dynamo lights.
All bearing parts are White Industries.
Whisky Winston Carbon handlebar, a.k.a. the insane bars.
Single speed brake levers with bar shifter set up wrapped with Brooks Cambium bar tapes.
eeWings MTB crank.
Paul stem and Cane Creek bar end plugs .
Blue Stridsland M8 titanium bolts to add some more flava to the mix.
As I said, I’m so stoked how this one came out.
I am super thankful for being able to do these amazing builds for our customers.
I hope they are now enjoying their new bikes.
