“Hei-sei OSUSHI BOYS”
Hello. Tani here from Blue Lug Kamiuma. This is gonna be a weird blog.
You guys ever heard of “Hei-sei Osushi Boys”?
My memory is not crystal clear, but let me tell you how it all started.
First of all, “Hei-sei” is the name of an era, from 1989 to 2019 to be exact. The current era is called “Rei-wa”.
One day, me and Matsu from BLG Yoyogi park were just hanging out and messing around with our bikes.
It was just after our payday. We had to go out for a nice sushi dinner after a nice ride…and I think that’s pretty much how it started.
Sushi isn’t an ideal meal after a good amount of exercise because they make you thirsty as a desert. But we wanna eat what we want and ride with whoever we want.
That’s concept of Osushi Boys.
Cruise around,
and feast on sushi.
Somehow this inside joke/movement grew some fins and started to swim around our community.
We got cocky and made some merch.
We made all kinds of stuff like “Yunomi” a cup for drinking green tea, and “Tenugui” a Japanese bandana, which has nothing to do with bikes. And we were hyped to see our customers spreading the movement of Osushi Boys in their own community.
There was a time when we went on a cherry blossom watching ride with like 30 people
BUT. Here’s where things get complicated.
“Hei-sei” is over so how are we gonna make new merch…
“Hei-Sei” is over…*Bubble sounds intensifies.
It’s not “Hei-Sei” era anymore…“SPLASH”
