As I probably wrote a few times in these blogs already, I traveled to Argentina last year.

During the trip, I had one thing stolen.

This freaking hat.

I wore it the whole trip until I stopped at a gas station. I had this hat stowed in my stem bag, but it was gone when I got to my bike. Someone must have really like the hat.

I wasn’t anything very special to me, but being on a bike tour without a hat was a pain. Sweat keeps on getting into my eyes and the sunlight was shining onto my head directly. I remember being super frustrated when I started riding again.

I really wanted that hat again, but also didn’t want to buy the same product. I asked our product designers if we can make anything like that hat and they did a really good job making them.

Made of water repellent nylon fabric with fun colors, like the other Blue Lug products.

These hats are really good to wear under helmets.
I know there are plenty of cycling hats in the market, but those hats are too sporty. I wanted something that blends in well with plain clothes.

There are mesh side panel versions and regular side panel versions.


The brims are unstructured, so you can fold them up in put them inside your bike bags or your pockets.

I’m so stoked to get a new hat that’s better than the one that was stolen! Screw you hat thief!!
