We always enjoy making merchandize that is related, or sometimes completely unrelated to cycling.

Bike shops could sometimes be intimidating for beginners, or very boring for people who decided to tag along with their cyclist buddies or family members.

One of the purpose of making random stuff is to make the shop a little bit more interesting to non-cyclists, or to make the shop look “too bikey” for beginners. We don’t want people to come in and loose interest in cycling just because there’s too many bike parts that they don’t know what they are even for.

Another reason is that we fortunately have so many customers visiting from other parts of the country, and from all over the world. We want to offer some products that are easy to take home to share with friends and family, or to keep for yourselves as a memory of visiting Blue Lug.

We recently had a huge delivery of new Blue Lug goods, so we’d like to go over them.

DRY TOWEL

These are all made of nylon and polyester, so they dry quicker than your average cotton towel.

First, we got the “Matsuri” graphic, which means “festival.”
Some bandanas with the similar graphic is often handed out in traditional Japanese festivals.

The huge red Chinese character reads “Matsuri” and other small texts are all the store locations, Hatagaya, Kamiuma, Yoyogipark and Kagoshima.

Next up is the camo pattern. Our graphic designers worked hard and made the camo pattern from scratch.

If you look closely, you could tell that they are actually tire patterns of off-road tires.

Next up is survival blue and survival orange, which has the same graphic as the *BLUE LUG* long sleeve loser tech tee.

The tear graphic in the center is actually the shape of the Tokyo prefecture.

We also have the Loudride graphic which is also from another Blue Lug product, *BLUE LUG* dry towel (loudride).

Next up, we have a new graphic. The graphic was made from inspiration that our designers got from all the spinning bike parts, such has headsets, bottom brackets, hubs, pedals and anything that has bearings and spins.

Lastly for the Dry Towels, we got the painting of the Hatagaya storefront, painted by our staff member Samba, who graduated art school.

These towels are great for putting on your head under a helmet when it’s super hot out, or you can put some water on them and wrap it around your neck to cool yourself down.

Check out the packaging too! If you know, you know.

Let’s take a look at the new water bottles.

I don’t know how many cycling bottles I have at my place, but I somehow end up getting more.

Here’s another if you know you know kind of type thing.

Yeah, I’m not gonna get into details because I don’t wanna get in trouble, but if you like it, good.

Here’s another reuse of our graphic. It matches our Steel U-lock.

This one is for the smokers out there.

For those of you who don’t know, this is a rip off of the basic hat that came with three purchases of Phillip Morris Basic cigarettes in the 90s.

Last but not least, the same camo as the Dry Towels.

The difference between the camo bottle and the others is that this one has insulation sheets. It’s not like the bottle can keep the beverage inside cold for a day, but it’s way better than your average plastic cycling bottles.

The bottles are all made by Specialized.

Everything on the post is now available in stores and online. You can find the links to the products below this blog post.

I hope you like what we cooked up for this summer✌️
