Outside Supply, a new shop of The Inconvenience Store has opened! Huge congrats to Yuta-san and Yasuko-san!

The new shop is actually a bike shop! Now I have another reason to visit CA.

Did you know that there is The Inconvenience Store, three minutes away from Blue Lug Hatagaya?

I grabbed one of  kiji_ijili‘s work at their pop-up the other day. It’s such a fun spot to visit. I always end up buying something.

In other news, I’ve been going mountain biking with my colleges.

Here’s a little edit of the ride↓

And a few pics.

I had a great time riding, learned the difference in riding trail and park, also the true fun of 26+ tires.

Everyone had cool cars too.

Shamy recently bought a kei truck, but check out his set up. This thing can load up five bikes. The funny thing is that it can only put two people on the seats including the driver.

Okay, moving onto the main topic.

There was a product on this bike that were not out in the world by the time we shot this bike.

Hmm…

This is the Crust x MKS Gordito pedals.

And these, are the Crust x MKS SUPER Gordito pedals.

The original Gordito pedals were designed based off MKS’s classic model, Sylvan Touring. Crust made them chubbier with a larger platform to meet the modern bike standards.

(Above : Gordito, below : Super Gordito)

They have upgraded the cages of the Gordito to a more jagged cage. This adds more grip, making the pedals suitable for gravel or dirt riding.

I installed these pedals on my new Derecho. I’ve tried it in the rain, and they grip like a mother effer!

Love MKS♡CRUST engravings💚

The original Gordito won’t be discontinued. I think the Super Gordito is a better option for Everyday Bikes, since they’re nice on your shoes and shins.

If you’re going on an aggressive trail riding, go with the Super Gordito.

And I can’t not talk about the new box.

The design was inspired by one of Matt’s hobbies, RC cars.

They sell a wide variety of RC cars over at Heaps Good Garage, Blockhead Motors being one of the brands, which Matt visited their HQ while he was in Japan.

The cool thing is that Fu is the designer of this box.

Fu’s friendship with Crust started when Fu visited Heaps Good Garage HQ in Australia. Fu being a graphic designer and an RC enthusiast himself, it made sense for him to do this design.

“I remember going to the hobby shop and looking at all these cool packaging of RC cars and stuff when I was a child and getting stoked. I wanted people to relive that feeling. As for the pedals, I really like the classic style and how grippy it is”.

He says. I’m excited to see if Fu will be designing more stuff from Crust.
