HANDLEBAR BAG ADV & ATP
New handlebar bags from Fairweather has arrived.
Introducing the Handlebar ADV. They are updated versions of the Handlebar Bag +
We have re-designed them and now you can pack more load. 19 liters (including the pockets). They are massive!
Roll top closure that extends quite a bit. Now you can shove that extra snack you had to gave up at the last minute before the trip, or get more on the way to your destination ¥.
Outer straps are still present, which was one of the cool features of the previous bar bag. You can load up extra gear with the extension straps.
This secures your gear firmly, making it safe to ride on dirt.
Side pockets are also big. Spare tubes, multi tools, repair kits can fit easily in here.
If you want to run drop bars, they at least need to be wider than 440mm. The handlebar in the picture is the Nitto All Road Plus bars in medium. If the bars have over c-c 460mm (brackets), the bag should fit fine.
You can also lock the side pockets with carabiners.
The side pockets features a sleeve pocket as well.
If you’re riding a rough trail, I don’t recommend stowing important belongings, like phones, wallets, keys and such. It’s a great size for putting a water bottle so it kind of acts like a stem bag in a way.
The lining of the bag is a water repellent nylon.
As you can see, the lining can be removed from the bag. It’s easier to organize your stuff when camping out and you got yourself a pillow!
The bag can be installed with the included straps. Two on the handlebar and one to the headtube.
The foam spacers are included as well. This will prevent the bags from interfering the brake and shift cables.
If the bag rubs on the tires, we recommend using the bag with the Nitto M-1B rack or other bag support. The bag has a couple of slits for Voile Straps underneath.
Here’s an idea of the clearance.
If you are planning to run this bag with racks or bag supports, you will need 18cm – 21cm of clearance from the handlebar to the rack.
If you are not going to use a rack, you will need at least 25cm of clearance from the handlebar to the front tire.
These bags work very nice with minivelo bikes.
We also have the ALL TERRAIN PANNIER (ATP), which is a pannier bag that looks great with the new bar bag.
These three bags would be a perfect set up for camp touring.
Hoping that these new bags would become an addition to your bikepacking setup!
