I updated my LHT with the Crust Clydesdale Cargo Fork!<\/p>\n

The crate on the fork is the MILK CRATE<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had the bike built with the Paul Motolite V-Brake<\/a>, that features adjustable brake shoe mount, so I didn’t have to get a new brake. I’m glad I invested in them.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The fork itself is pretty pricy, so I went with the Velocity Dyad Rim<\/a> and the Shimano Deore XT. It may be a down grade from the dynamo hub I had on the original build, but I’ll probably swap it out later.<\/p>\n

The tire is the Big Ben from Schwalbe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My dog Daikichi fits perfectly in the milk crate!<\/p>\n

I’ve tried putting him in a Wald 139 basket, but he tried to jump out getting startled by a loud truck. Now he is in a bigger basket safely and I think he is happy.<\/p>\n

Daikichi is a smaller do and weighs around 10kg.<\/p>\n

I suppose it depends on the dog\u2019s personality, but even with my fairly active dog, I could really tell he felt completely at ease riding in the milk crate. He stays calm and stays on board even when we go over small bumps.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s much easier to ride than I expected, but since he weighs nearly 10 kg, he\u2019s definitely on the heavy side, so I think it\u2019s best to drive safely and not get carried away.<\/p>\n

The wheels are small and heavy, so the handlebars tend to wobble easily; I feel like I need to get used to how the bike handles.<\/p>\n

Also, the V-brakes are working just fine for now, but I\u2019m wondering if I\u2019ll need to switch to disc brakes if I ride it regularly on rainy days or anything like that.<\/p>\n
