Finally, I broke Philwood bottom bracket.<\/p>\n

It’s been 7 years and 3 months because I started to use it in September 2018.<\/p>\n

I calculated and the daily rate is only 19 yen (it’s cheap!).<\/p>\n

It looks better than I expected, but it might be because I just ride it even in a rain.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

When I remove the crank, I found there’re too much tiny elements.<\/p>\n

I regretted that I haven’t been using a mud guard.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Oh, left side looks worse…<\/p>\n

It sounds squeaking when I touched the shaft.<\/p>\n

Umm, it’s so natural to feel it when I ride.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Oh, it’s terrible!<\/p>\n

Headset, hub, BB and any bicycle parts which rotate are meant to be like this.<\/p>\n

Even this extraordinarily durable Philwood BB is eventually broke, so yours might be the same…<\/p>\n

But, this is the reason why I do love Philwood products!<\/p>\n

Yes, you can replace the bearings!<\/p>\n

I put a mud guard for this time.<\/p>\n

It’s also great to add your favorite color to your bike.<\/p>\n

Just in case, I re-tapped the thread.<\/p>\n

Replacing the bearings, it came back like it’s brand new!<\/p>\n

The shell part is anodized in black for extra corrosion resistance.<\/p>\n

It’s so cool! But, you can’t see it when it’s on bike though.<\/p>\n

It’s now super smooth!<\/p>\n

I’m so satisfied with its riding quality!<\/p>\n
