About a month after I joined Blue Lug, my boss turned his phone toward me and said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThese guys\u2019 stickers and bar tape are cool. Could you try and in touch with them?\u201d<\/p>\n

On the screen was a script logo that read \u201cCamp And Go Slow\u201d (back then, I had no idea it was a campy reference), along with some bar tape in pretty patterns.<\/p>\n

Looking back, Camp And Go Slow was probably the first brand I ever reached out to after joining Blue Lug. Since then, we\u2019ve ordered a bunch of their items several times a year, only to somehow find them sold out before we know it.<\/p>\n

Their bar tape and accessories have become staples throughout the alternative cycling scene around the world. From bikepackers and dirt riders to show bikes featured at bike shows such as MADE. Their products have found their way onto the bikes of riders from all kinds, across the globe.<\/p>\n

Of course, our own Blue Lug mechanics use tons of their stuff on the bikes they build every day. I\u2019m sure there are plenty more examples that haven\u2019t even made it into our bike catalog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, how did Camp And Go Slow get started?<\/p>\n

Rewind to around 2018, when the brand\u2019s current owner, Casey Clark<\/a>, first made the now-familiar die-cut sticker<\/a> as a joke. He initially handed them out among friends, but through a series of chance encounters, one of these locally born inside jokes made its way into the hands of Jarrod Bunk<\/a>, who was running a bike shop in Pennsylvania called Hope Cyclery at the time.<\/p>\n

Jarrod tracked Casey down and suggested they turn the idea into an actual brand. And Camp And Go Slow became a brand.<\/p>\n

Eventually, Jarrod got too busy running his bike shop and stepped away from the brand.<\/p>\n
