The other day, we’ve invited Fergus Tanaka who works for Ritchey to Japan.<\/p>\n

He is one of the people who I really admire and it was a wonderful week to spend with him, but I’ll talk about it some other time.<\/p>\n

He is Fergus. I was really surprised that he won BIKELORE delivery race and took the top spot.<\/p>\n

I have tons of things that I wanna tell you guys, but what I want you to pay attention to is this.<\/p>\n

He takes very good care of his things, and he’s been using this Zo Bag for 20 years.<\/p>\n

And, the shorts he put on is the one he repaired with a baggie of THOMSON. It’s so cool!<\/p>\n

I really like this Carhartt shorts he’s been wearing more than 10 years. I’m embarrassed that I bought Carhartt at a vintage clothing shop. It’s not pictured clearly, but he’s also done a repair on the butt where the most high-contact area for a bicycle.<\/p>\n

No matter if it’s a bag or shorts, taking care of something is not just using it until it fall apart. I’d like to show my respect to his way of thinking to make things more valuable than a new one. I’m going improve myself as well.<\/p>\n

THOMSON has been known for their high reliability and outstanding strength and they manufactures the parts for planes of two of the largest companies in the aircraft industry.<\/p>\n

*THOMSON* G2 stem<\/a><\/p>\n

G2 Stem is a stem for road\/gravel and it’s the updated version of their road stem called “X2”.<\/p>\n

I think a lot of you guys like the combination of the iconic curvy shaped faceplate with two bolts. I’m actually the one of them.<\/p>\n

\nG2 Stem takes T-25 titanim bolts for securing a faceplate and redesigning makes it has more clamping forces.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

For the column clamp, it takes HEX titanium bolts to make it lightweight.<\/p>\n

FYI, G2 stem is about 11-17g lighter than X4 stem. (The difference depends on the length of the stem.)<\/p>\n

Even though you don’t care about the weight, its unique design still looks cool and there’s no loss in having a silver stem.<\/p>\n

I believe THOMSON is Reverse Weave<\/a> of the bicycle industries. You don’t sometimes use it for a while, but you’ll definitely begin to use it again.<\/p>\n

Do you know they have two different aluminum seatposts?<\/p>\n

The guy who recently joined us was surprised at the difference, so I’d like to introduce it again.<\/p>\n

The silver one is “ELITE”<\/a> and the black one is “MASTERPIECE”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And this picture is the really good example to show you the difference.<\/p>\n

Compared to “ELITE”, “MASTERPIECE” is machined to the limit.<\/p>\n

But, the strength of “MASTERPIECE” is almost the same as that of “ELITE”, so it’s the perfect one for those who wanna trim off a little extra weight.<\/p>\n

THOMSON is a great choice for any kind of bikes such as track bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes and MTBs which are built with a weight and speed in mind. CNC machined design surely makes your bike look handsome.<\/p>\n

I’d like to install a silver stem and seatpost onto a modern fully-fendered bike.<\/p>\n
