I honestly got sick of riding a 650B drop bar gravel bike after the tour, so I wasn&#8217;t riding this bike after I came back to Japan. Darn it!<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, I just wanted to try out a disc brake fixie. There aren&#8217;t as many disc brake single speed frames in the current market, but I feel like they can do well. I love it. He keeps on telling me to give it back, but I won&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>The hubs are the Paul Disk Word Thru-Axle Fix hubs, like I mentioned earlier in the post. I think this is my favorite bike component. Wonder if there are any other fellow thru-axle fixie riders out there. I doubt that there are many, and I always wonder why Paul makes these hubs, though I truly appreciate and love them.<\/p>\n<p>Geared frames are usually not able to convert into a single speed, so we use the <a class=\"product-item-link\" href=\"https:\/\/global.bluelug.com\/philwood-philcentric-bb.html\">*PHILWOOD* philcentric bb<\/a>, which is also one of my favorites. This build was no exception, so I took my Philcentric BB from my Geekhouse.<\/p>\n<p>This build is mainly for riding solo on my days off. The gear ratio is about 2.1, so that I can ride up the mountains. The gearing is too use to ride in the city, but I still push my bike on a huge climb in the mountain. It&#8217;s for my day off, so that&#8217;s tolerable. I&#8217;m not in a hurry.<\/p>\n<p>My LOW is kind of retired now, after playing a huge role in my life. It now has a new chill life and I plan on riding and loving this bike for a long time ahead.<\/p>\n<p>If you happen to have a bike that you no longer ride as much, think of doing a fun customization before getting rid of it.
