I asked him why and he told me that he had a plan of building an MTB, but didn&#8217;t happen for multiple reasons, but he already had bought the hub, so we used it on the Appaloosa build. I think using disc hubs on rim brake bike has to have some kind of reason like this. These are the only V-brakes from Shimano that are polished finish, but they are now discontinued.
