Toy Story 5 has been officially announced. I personally wasn’t a big fan of 4, so I am very excited to see the latest film.
\nNot gonna make a comment on Frozen 3, but I will say Zootopia 2 had me freaking out of excitement. Mufasa The Lion King also looks amazing.<\/p>\n

Villain’s Land in the Magic Kingdom is also something I’m pumped about.<\/p>\n

Ok, enough for my nerdy stuff.<\/p>\n

We got a very special delivery from Ron’s Bike.<\/p>\n

*RON’S BIKES* Aluminus Maximus frame set <\/a><\/p>\n

This is the first original frame from Ron’s Bikes.
\nThe high performance gravel bike was designed by none other than The Benedict himself, with inspirations from u.p.<\/a>, crux<\/a>, mog<\/a> and Charlie Cunningham.<\/p>\n

Charlie Cunningham is one of the founders of WTB, a huge bicycle company that you probably have one product in your parts box. Charlie founded WTB with Steve Potts the legendary frame builder. Both are currently not associated with the company however.<\/p>\n

This all makes total sense, since Ronnie is a huge fan of the bicycle culture in the 80’s and 90’s.
\nI wonder if there is any similarity to the XC bikes back then and the current gravel bikes. Just the fact, he mentioned those big names tell us that what they did back then was a big inspiration for Ultraromance.<\/p>\n

I had the great opportunity to chat with Ronnie himself about the frame when they were in Japan last year.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Like the Alumalith<\/a> frame, the Aluminus Max is also welded by Frank the Welder<\/a>, a very special person in the indutry.
\n

\nThe biggest feature in my opinion about this frame is the Paul Racer brake direct mount. Yes, the brake mount is designed specifically for the Braze-on Paul Racer Brakes.<\/p>\n

I just love the fact that this is a rim brake bike, which I think is a great way to pay homage to the bikes that inspired him.
\nThis is something that makes a rim brake enthusiast like myself drool.<\/p>\n

The rear mount is especially beautiful, due to the fact that it works as a brake booster.<\/p>\n

*PAUL* racer brake Braze-on<\/a><\/p>\n

And yes, we of course have the Braze-on Racer brakes in stock.<\/p>\n

All frame sizes take 700C wheels with a max tire clearance of 700 x 47C.
\nObviously, Ultradynamico tires<\/a> are great on this bike.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The frame is available in two different variations of the fork, but we ordered the Taper Trax Fork, a light weight model. This fork also features fender eyelets.<\/p>\n

The rear end of the frame also has fender eyelets, so you can go full fender without any issues.<\/p>\n

Full fenders on rim brake bicycles…this is the stuff that is right up my alley. Imagine a black Honjo fender on this thing…<\/p>\n

Somebody please let me build this gorgeous bike!!<\/p>\n

There are no rack mounts, so hanging a small bar bag like Ronnie-san and going on a day trip with this sounds excellent.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is a super limited frame, but we were lucky enough to order 4 sizes.<\/p>\n

This made me chuckle a little bit, but I truly think that this frame would become legendary, with all the beautiful details and the work that the legendary welder has put in.<\/p>\n

“Rare” and “Valuable” is something we seek when making a purchase, but I truly would love somebody who loves Ultraromance’s philosophy to ride this bike. The bike that an ex-racer, bicycle loving, bicycle tire company owner that changed cycling in the recent years has designed.<\/p>\n
