Before I joined Blue Lug, I\u2019ve ridden a bike around Japan, and Isshu (\u4e00\u5468) means going around in Japanese. This is where my nickname came from.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I would like to show you 3 bikes we built in our shop recently. SOMA fabrications from San Francisco, California, and San Marcos is designed by Rivendell Bicycle Works, which is also from the bay area. The wheel sizes are 650B but those brakes are caliper like a road bike. It is great that you can put fenders and racks on this bike. For this bike,\u00a0it is cool either like classic sports bike setups or touring bike setups.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<a title=\"*SOMA* san marcos (51)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/bluelug\/45413041175\/in\/dateposted-family\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4848\/45413041175_807876bbf3_h.jpg\" alt=\"*SOMA* san marcos (51)\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis setup is the latter. On this everyday bike, you can load a lot of stuff. The rack is the <a href=\"https:\/\/global.bluelug.com\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=nitto+m-1+rack\">Nitto M-1B<\/a> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/global.bluelug.com\/brands\/wald.html\">Wald basket<\/a>. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/global.bluelug.com\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=realm\">Realm basket bag<\/a> fits perfectly the Wald basket. I recommend those if charging lights is a real pain in the ass. Those hub dynamo works very well.<br \/>\n<a title=\"*SOMA* san marcos (51)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/bluelug\/45413040555\/in\/dateposted-family\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4878\/45413040555_ceda8fce84_h.jpg\" alt=\"*SOMA* san marcos (51)\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nThe headset is the <a href=\"https:\/\/global.bluelug.com\/catalogsearch\/result\/?q=chris+king+head+set\">Chris King<\/a> 1 inch thread, which lasts super long. Since the 1 inch headtube is less stiffer than 1 1\/8 inch, the durability of headset is very important. In particular, the bike has a front rack. The owner lives from the outside of Tokyo and he loves snowboarding and outdoor activity. When I was working on this bike, I was like I want a bike like this. This is kind of my dream bike.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s all today. All 3 bikes are very unique and really cool.<br \/>\nTime fries. This year is almost over. You may be busy with wrapping this year but why don\u2019t you come to our shop to change some parts and refresh.
